Intro
We're rolling out some new features that will help improve your experience on PeakD.com. From translations and creative prompts to future integrations, here's what you can expect. What we've released is primarily all related to the experience for content readers.
In short readers will benefit from having AI help interpret the post in several different ways from translation to helping consider some questions about the post they can ask themselves to even a short quiz about the post... or of course some of the creative things like poems.
4K vs 16K
If you're curious, we are using a 16k model of GPT when the post is longer and a 4k model when it's shorter. This way, we can handle the larger posts, especially when it's reading a long post and then rewriting the entire thing.
NOTE: The API system from OpenAI company isn't always reliable so don't expect it to be functioning 100% or even 99% of the time... there are a fare share of outages.
TRANSLATION
We are including a few Translation prompts that allow you to read posts in your language. We're starting with just a few languages but expect to add more soon. Note: long posts might get cut off due to API constraints... we estimate that this may happen somewhere around 900 words or above. This could be fixed but gets often even more than twice as expensive so we'll wait on this to see experience so far with what we have and the costs.
CREATIVE PROMPTS
While we're focusing on recap and thought-provoking posts, we're also adding a handful of creative prompts. From poems to children's stories, there's something to entertain everyone and we're on the look out for even more creative options that enhance your experience with the authors content and intent.

REMOVAL AND ADDITION OF PROMPTS
We will be removing prompts that aren't getting the best results or aren't heavily used. New prompts will be added based on usage stats and community suggestions.
COSTS
For now, we're covering the OpenAI bill. But keep in mind, if usage spikes or Hive gains more users, we may need to reconsider. Thankfully, Hive has a built-in ability for no-fee quick micropayments.
FUTURE INTEGRATIONS
Our current AI tools are geared towards enhancing your reading experience. Don't expect an AI that will write posts for you, but we're exploring basic tools for spelling and grammar checks, and other ways to improve your posts.

Great idea, I am particularly interested by the usage feedback of this feature! I hope you will share this feedback as it will help to understand how such tools are really used.
Great addition I hope it helps both readers and writers. And of course such improvements will help increase the peakD userbase.
I am unsure if this will help but if the responses get wrapped in JSON the AI will not always cut its response short.
Unsure how that works via the API but in their web interface it can render very long responses if JSON is utilized.
Working on a separate project I did a few experiments with JSON response. For me the response was cut anyway.
I'll give it a few more tries to see if it's better 👍
The GPT-3.5 Turbo model seemed to do it better than the GPT-4 model in my experiments.
Yeah, we use the 3.5.
The results for the prompts we created are already quite good. And we can slightly reduce our monthly bills. BTW we don't know yet how many users will actually use this new feature. So we'll have to figure out if the cost is sustainable for us :D

That's a very useful integration of generative AI, well done!
I have a different opinion on some of the features, I just verify that recaps wont work most of the time as you mention, took a over 2k word post and it was bad, besides I'm not sure and don't think AI for now can recap some ones opinion, recaps work best with text book facts, the prompts feature not a fan as there will be people who try to exploit it to create (copy/paste) content, as for grammar check, wording improvement or auto fill like synonyms and other similar stuff I'm all in since that really comes handy when writing content, thx for all this features

Just in case, might depend on the browser, if its a graphical glitch because all I thought there was a single line, I know Librewolf is not the most compatible browsers, I could try on Chrome see how that goes, this also happens with short summary
Yeah it worked for me at least on my post.
I thought it was like cell phone games, where it is translated without changing the text format.
