1. New signup options with Hiveonboard
It's now possible to begin the signup process to create a new Hive account directly on PeakD. After a short overview of the required steps to create the account the new user can select an username and complete the account creation on @hiveonboard.
Other options are still available, so the final choice is always up to the user:
2. Use the Hive Account Referral System
With the new signup process we also adopted the Hive Account Referral System. We worked with @roomservice and @cardboard on this new system and finally it's integrated into PeakD.
Also a new Referrals page is available to get your referral link, manage the default beneficiaries and check the new accounts that used your referral link to signup.
And this is an overview of the new page (part of the page will be improved in the upcoming releases):
3. Include @reward.app for post liquid payout
When publishing a new post there is now an option to select @reward.app as the payout option. You can read more about the project here.
This is a third party service, so be sure to understand how it works before using this payout option.
4. Some minor improvements and bug fixes
As always some minor improvements, updates and fixes across the website. You can check the full release notes here: https://peakd.com/about/changelog.

I created an account last night through the referral process, the layout is great and it worked a treat - nice one!
Loving the referral landing page, looks great, won't be so shy to send out my referral link now :)

The new signup process is a great addition To peakd @roomservice and @cardboard and you guys thank you very much , i will try all the features
let's see how easy it is for your friends... In testing it was super fast. However I already have Keychain installed. So helping them use those keys and perhaps install Keychain will be the bottleneck now... getting the account is now super simple

Great update. I wish I had this in May when I joined Hive. Simple layout. The infographic to explain keys is useful. I hope this will help Hive adoption easier. Amazing job.😇

Cool! It's good to know that we now have many options to sign up for new account. This would help new users to be less skeptic in joining hive community. I know most people don't want to pay just to sign up for a program though joining Hive doesn't cost anyone a fortune.

Can I set someone as my beneficiary and then it stay locked like that forever? So I don't have the ability to change them as a beneficiary? Does the referrer beneficiary stay forever?
Not sure what you mean with 'locked'. The value is stored in the account

Yes, it's always up to the owner of the account.

What do you mean with 'private' key. Each key has a private and a public, so they can change the beneficiaries if they have the private active key. Not with the private posting key.
That's what I meant, the posting key. Say I create an account for a friend and then only give them the posting key. They won't be able to remove me as a beneficiary? As I have the active key? Thanks
