This following article is a multi-center non-interventional study which aimed to determine the presence or absence of coronavirus OC43 nucleocapsid protein antibody in ICU versus non-ICU COVID-19 patients

Patients with critical COVID-19 infection had significantly lower levels of coronavirus OC43 nucleocapsid protein antibody.

This findings are important because it can serve to stratify patients with COVID-19 according to the risk of severe disease. It also may help identify people who would need vaccination
