I love Japan. Been to Kyoto twice. One of the best places to just take the lazy walks one does when they want life to pass them by and help them think of where they want their life to go.

Unfortunately I was not able to go there. Only places near Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.
The bamboo grove was cool too, did you get to go to the shops and eat the moochi cakes there?
