Walk and Succulent Lunch in Caoria, Province of Trentino-Alto Adige - Discovering Italy with alequandro!

I was recently in Caoria, a charming town in Trentino Alto Adige, with my parents.

As soon as we parked the car we stretched our legs with a walk in the town centre.

We crossed the characteristic wooden bridge and contemplated a panorama that is a joy for the eyes.

The walk through the town center was an opportunity to admire the traditional architecture and charm of the place.

The church of San Giovanni Nepomuceno is truly beautiful and characteristic, which embellishes the town with its simplicity and position.

The main idea was to eat at a village festival dedicated to the porcini mushroom only we discovered that they would only open for dinner!

L'idea principale era mangiare ad una sagra paesana dedicata al fungo porcino solo che abbiamo scoperto che avrebbero aperto solo per la cena!

After exploring the town, we headed to Albergo Al Pin, a charming restaurant located in a traditional building. Here, we enjoyed a delicious lunch. I chose to taste tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, a typical dish of the region.

Dopo aver esplorato il paese, ci siamo diretti all'Albergo Al Pin, un ristorante incantevole situato in un edificio tradizionale. Qui, abbiamo gustato un delizioso pranzo. Ho scelto di assaporare le tagliatelle con funghi porcini, un piatto tipico della regione.

Their al dente texture and the flavor of fresh mushrooms were a real pleasure for the palate. My father opted for the "house dish", which included sausages, polenta, goulash, cheese and mushrooms. It was a hearty and delicious meal that reflected traditional Trentino cuisine.

La loro consistenza al dente e il sapore dei funghi freschi erano un vero piacere per il palato. Mio padre ha optato per il "piatto della casa", che comprendeva salsicce, polenta, gulash, formaggio e funghi. Era un pasto abbondante e delizioso che rifletteva la cucina tradizionale trentina.

After lunch, we decided to take a short excursion near the small Pront church.

Dopo il pranzo, abbiamo deciso di fare una breve escursione nei pressi della chiesetta del Pront.

The trail was surrounded by unspoiled nature, with green forests and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The small Pront church, with its simple but fascinating architecture, was a place of serenity and contemplation.

Il sentiero era circondato da una natura incontaminata, con boschi verdi e panorami mozzafiato delle montagne circostanti. La chiesetta del Pront, con la sua architettura semplice ma affascinante, era un luogo di serenità e contemplazione.

The forest was beautiful, the light filtering through the branches of the fir trees gave it a magical atmosphere.

Il bosco era bellissimo, la luce che filtrava dalle fronde degli abeti conferiva un'atmosfera magica.

In some places I could hear the roar of water falling from above.

In alcuni tratti potevo sentire il fragore dell'acqua cadere dall'alto.

I went to look around and carefully, because it wasn't a very easy point given that there was a sheer drop, I found some beautiful waterfalls.

Sono andato a curiosare e con attenzione, perchè non era un punto molto agevole dato che c'era uno strapiombo, ho scovato delle bellissime cascatelle.

Returning towards the church, we stopped near the Vanoi stream, which takes the name of the valley. We relaxed sitting on some rocks, listening to the sound of melodiously flowing water. It was the perfect place to regenerate and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature.

Tornati verso la chiesetta, ci siamo fermati vicino al torrente Vanoi, che prende il nome della valle. Ci siamo rilassati seduti su alcune rocce, ascoltando il suono dell'acqua che scorreva melodiosamente. Era il luogo perfetto per rigenerarsi e godersi la bellezza della natura circostante.

Our day in Caoria was an unforgettable experience, enriched by the delicious cuisine and relaxing atmosphere of the place. Sometimes it's nice to share days like this with family.

La nostra giornata a Caoria è stata un'esperienza indimenticabile, arricchita dalla cucina deliziosa e dall'atmosfera rilassante del posto. Qualche volta è bello condividere in famiglia giornate come questa.
