Let's visit Camden Town and King's Cross in London, a very fun walk

Hello Hive and Pinmapple friends, I hope today you are living or reading beautiful adventures around the world. Camden Town was one of the impromptu places I visited in London and today I will take you for a moment to walk around there and end up in King's Cross, another place I decided I had to visit that was not on my list.

London was a kind of school in that sense, since I had taken my organized list of places to go, and many of them were really references of the city, like the Greenwich Observatory or the London Eye, but as the days went by and as I met more travelers, I began to discover that London was much more than what the internet suggested in their different blogs, then I discovered that you have to learn to flow in travel and let yourself go a little by those places that invite us to explore them.

One of my hostel mates recommended me to go to Camden Town. She told me that it had been recommended to her and that she had loved it, so I gave this place a chance.

Again London surprised me, I had my opinion only by the movies I have seen and by some stories of friends, but I found a city separated into neighborhoods that keep each one its particularity, and a curious peculiarity. So it is that Camden Town is shown as a more bohemian area of the city, much more Bohemian than any other corner visited there.

The neighborhood is formed around the Regents canal and has different locals that emanate spontaneity. There I saw several shops related to fashion and the sale of oriental products, many of them from India, which of course fascinated me because I was already in the world of Yoga by that time.

Camden Town has its famous market, which is usually full of people every day of the week. In the streets they also sell delicious food, I really wanted to try that rolled waffle you see in the picture, filled with Nutella. Nothing healthy, but very exotic for me coming from Argentina, where, at least in my city, we don't have those wonders and Nutella is very expensive.

Camden Town's slopes and bridges are a marvel to behold, as they offer different perspectives of this place, all with a relaxed urban landscape that seems to have been placed close to the great core of London, refined and more modern.

I was fascinated by how the buildings looked touched by the gentle rain. This is a feature I saw all over London that I found very beautiful. Everything had a particular color, modified by the humidity, that somehow, in my eyes, made it magical. The colors of the locals and the narrow streets compared to the rest of the city, also offered in that corner of London, a unique experience for the visitor.

The only thing I did not like too much of this experience is that I was in a hurry, because as I said, this was not in my plans but I wanted to visit it. So I walked fast, took pictures and although I ate the waffle while walking, I didn't sit and contemplate, which is something that Camden Town almost demands. It's a busy town but relaxed at the same time, so it invites you to join in that mood.

On the way to King's Cross and the station

From there I walked to King's Cross station, which is about a half hour walk away. My desire to visit the station was born after going to the Warner Bross Harry Potter studios in north London. There it dawned on me that King's Cross was real and that there was something Harry Potter related, which was none other than Platform 93/4, so it was a law for me, to get close, as I am a huge Harry fan. Because of this, I decided to add it to my unexpected Camden Town plan.

Walking around London is a great experience, wherever you go, even in more remote and not touristy places like near the BAPS (Hindu temple), you will have a great experience. But well in this case it was very close to the heart of the city, so it was a guarantee that the walk would be beautiful.

I took a few pictures on my way to the station and finally arrived. To my surprise, I found a specific Harry Potter store and a large flow of tourists around the point in question, something obvious but that for some reason I had not anticipated. I don't like crowded places with tourists looking at the same place, but well, logically in more than one opportunity I had to join the movement and be one more tourist in the crowd of people trying to see whatever it is haha.

Beyond Harry, I found King's Cross a beautiful station. Its building is an architectural masterpiece and inside, there is a lot of organization, or at least that's what I thought. Yes, it's huge! You will surely have to go through there if you go to London to travel somewhere else, in my case, I traveled from there to Paris.
