Moinhos de santana📸🌷 / Visita Molinos de Santana🚩🌏🍍(En-Es)

It is not normal to take a walk through the city center and come across structures that date back to the Romanesque era and the most interesting thing is to see them well preserved! If you visit the city of Lisbon and you don't know which places to write down on your visit list, then I recommend you use 30 minutes of your time and take a walk around the "Moinhos de Santana" park, in this post I will show you why you should visit the park!📸🧭

A walk through Portuguese history📸🚩/ Un paseo a la historia Portuguésa🧭🍍

First of all I don't want you to get false expectations since it's just a park but with a lot of history! And you know like me that history is something invaluable, the park being in the middle of the center of Lisbon gives it that special touch of being able to go out and distract yourself a bit, enjoy nature, do some hobby like (photography), exercise or just relax and chat a bit! The truth is that although it does not seem like the first construction carried out in this park dates back to the year (1762), an interesting fact because the country had just been struck by one of the most devastating earthquakes in history!🧭🚩📸

Built for the nuns in 1762🌏

Restelo is the town where you find this unique park of its "kind" for having windmills, at the beginning in 1762 when a building was built in this area it was with the function of commemorating the nuns "do bom suceso", the most important works The most recent in the park were in 1942 when the municipal chamber acquired the property and turned it into a public historical recreation area!🧠🌍

The park consists of a total of "five hectares" with different green areas and "ecosystems" being able to get several species of wild and domestic animals, in the center of the park there is an artificial lagoon with some ducks, then we have access to a staircase that leads us It leads to one of the highest points in the city center and we have a viewpoint that has a 180 degree landscape of Lisbon, you have a view of the April 25 bridge and a large part of the Tejo river!🌷📸🚩

I was excited because I had never been so close to a windmill and I was able to investigate a bit about how they work, these structures were common in Europe along with tide mills, they were used to grind various types of flour, and since we are in one of the highest points of the city the hills benefited the movement due to the constant currents of air! today all these are buildings but before lisbon was known as the "seven hills".🌏🧭

Belem is one of the most beautiful places in Portugal, there are many interesting things to visit, highlighting several churches with different types of architecture and some even from the medieval era, if you like macro photography you can have a different vision of the park and every detail counts! let's say you learn to appreciate these undervalued spaces!📸🧭🌏
