A Day Well Spent At Dubai Mall

Dubai is undoubtedly a very beautiful and gorgeous city and visiting it twice is actually a dream come true. I last visited Dubai 7 years back and I have a post of it too on hive. Now that time I have visited alone, but this time I have visited with my family. Traveling to Dubai is expensive not because of the Stay or food but because if you want to do some activities you have to shell out some money from your pocket. There are a lot of places worth visiting in Dubai so if you are planning to go then you should plan in such as way that you cover most of them in one go.

Dubai Mall is the best place to spent the whole day because you have so many activities to do there. And after spending 1 full day, you feel like you have not covered everything. If you like shopping you can do it, if you like activities you can do it, if you like to just witness the beauty of the Dubai Landscape then also Dubai Mall is the perfect place.

But since we had a limited time, so we have dedicated the whole day to Dubai Mall as well as doing the activities inside it. Even though we have given the whole day to Dubai Mall it was not sufficient and we have to come back other day to do some other activities. Though we have planned out what activities we should do before hand itself, but this place is so beautiful that our time seems like running out of our hand. Dubai mall is the most popular destination in Dubai and millions of visitors reach there every day. The Dubai Mall is so huge that you feel like getting lost from time to time.

The mall is easily accessible through public transportation and that's why we have taken Metro to reach there. From Metro station to Dubai mall is like 2 KM walk, but you will not feel like you are walking so much because of so many people around as well as teh beauty on both sides. Though people think that Burj Khalifa as well as the Dubai Fountain is the major attractions of Dubai Mall but trust me there are so much to see out there.

Sky View Observatory

The opening time of Sky View Observatory was 10 AM and thus we have reached Sky View Observatory by 10:30 AM. We have already done our booking from Klook where the price was around Rs 3K per person. This includes one free glass slide. The sky view is very near to the metro station and since in the evening it gets really crowded so we thought of going in the morning itself.

When we have reached there we are stunned to see so beautiful landscape as well as the whole surrounding was awesome. It was a clear blue sky and we can literally see the whole of Dubai from that Sky View. It is located at the 52nd floor of a building and we have a glass walk where we can see the whole Dubai Downtown. It was scary to walk on that at first and then we were accustomed to it.

The main attraction was to see the Burj Khalifa from this near. So we have decided that we will not go to the Top of the Burj Khalifa because of rush as well as the view might be better in Sky View. And to be honest we were stunned with the beauty of it. We have done our glass slide and it was a great experience.

The Sky View also gives you an option of Edge walking which we have not done because it looked scary and it was costly. The cost of one person was around Rs 10K. It took us close to 2 hours to fully enjoy the Sky View Observatory.

In Front of Burj Khalifa

Then we have gone to the Dubai Mall and straight went in front of the Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa. Since we have already seen the burj Khalifa from the Sky View, it was just a glance of its mafnificant nature. It was so tall that it was actually not coming in the frame. I have to take it from so many angles to photograph it completely.

The surrounding area was also cool, where you will see so many restaurants, shopping stores and other things. So let's go through some of the photos I took of Burj Khalifa as well as some of the surrounding areas.

The Waterfall

Next we came inside the Dubai Mall and had our Lunch and then we headed to see the waterfall. The Waterfall at Dubai Mall is a unique water feature where you will see life-size statue of human divers. It represents history of Dubai. Some glimpses of Waterfall and human divers are. If you look closely you will feel like it is designed quite well and thus it looks that the person is actually diving.

Dubai Aquarium

My daughter insisted us to take her to the Aquarium and even though the whole aquarium was visible from the outside it seems to be worth visiting the inside. Though we have not taken it into consideration for that day, we have skipped the plan of going inside that day and promised my daughter that we will come back again to visit it from inside.

If you want to visit the whole aquarium it would take anywhere between 2 to 3 hours and thus you have to walk a little in those 2-3 hours so we have not went that day. Most of the people usually watch is from outside itself where you can see some of the great water animals including the shark. Some of the fishes we can see from the outside too and the glimpses of them are:

Burj Khalifa at Night

We had already mesmerized by the beauty of the Burj Khalifa from the morning and afternoon session, but let me tell you that it looks even more stunning at night. There used to be light show on the whole Burj Khalifa which actually make the whole surrounding so lightful.

And not only the Burj Khalifa, the surrounding area also looked stunning at night with all the lighting around.

And then I was playing with my camera to create some unique perspective of the scenes at night. Some of the photos which I have captured were:

Fountain Show

In the evening 7 we came out of the Dubai Mall to see the fountain which starts at 6PM and happens every 30 minutes. So we came just before the 7 PM when the fountain show had started, since there was so much rush we could not capture it properly and then we have waited for another 30 minutes and then captured the beauty of the fountain show.

The fountain was quite mesmerizing, my daughter liked it too much. She insisted us to stay till 11 PM so that she will watch all the show. Bit we have watched only 2 shows before calling it a day.

Towards Home

It was a tiring day for all of us, from the morning 9 AM from the time we have started from our place as well as till 10 PM the time which we reached home was exhausting. Even though it was tiring we have made beautiful memories in the process. My daughter enjoyed it a lot and till today she was saying that if we go to Dubai again, she will stay till 11 PM in front of the fountain and watch all the shows.
