One of the highlight of our vacation on my boyfriend's town is the rivers. I am a city girl and literally any body of water is a dream come true for me. I wam not joking that I want to jump any whenever I see water to take a dip! Everytime we're at his home town I would drag my boyfriend to the river to swim! It is not everyday that I could sew one.
This river is just about a ten minute walk from their house and it's crystal clear! I could see the stones and sand when I step onto the water. Though not a lot of people swims here because it's the designated laundry area of the locals.
If we want a more peaceful serene view we need another ten minute walk upstream. But if you're into nature the wall is nothing coz you would go inside the forest and have a mini hiking. If you are lucky there are fruits on the way like guavas and star apple that you can sample. And if you are that mighty there coconut tress splattered everywhere waiting for you to climb them. Just remember to ask the nearest huts for permission.

They call this place Libtong, this is near a closed hydro plant. They say that when the Hydro was open the water isn't like this, it was unruly and a lot of locals meet accidents in the river. The locals were actually happy that the hydro closed. Maybe it is one of those government projects that were done to gain illegal profits? I don't know...
Anyhow, do you see how calm the water is? Whenever I am here I feel so connected to nature. I would close my eyes and I can hear Mother Earth singing to me. There are birds chirping happily, insects, leaves swaying with the wind and the soft brushing of water.
This place is must visit whenever you feel crowded in the city. It is a place for unwinding.
I love to dip my feet on the water and feel the coldness. It's like ice water cold but refreshing. In summertime its is best to spend ypur time here.
I often joke to my boyfriend that in the future Im going to live in their province. I would build a sustainable house with huge garden. I know one day I will make it happen.
Next time we visit, my boyfriend promised that we go their famous waterfalls. It's still next year but I am already excited and scared at the same time.

I love the place! It’s really an escape to the busy life in the city. Here you don’t hear the loud busina of the jeepneys but instead you’d hear yhe chirping of the birds and the stream.
It’s also good that your boyfriend introduced you to his family so you can go there a lot. 😅
