In the sunny city of Malaga in the South of Andalusia, Spain, you will find a beautiful harbour open to the city surrounded by parks and good restaurants where you can enjoy the views with a cool breeze from the Mediterranean Sea.

A port chosen by cruise ships as a base port for trips around Mediterranean cities and in this case as a maritime festival with the arrival of the largest wooden frigate still sailing, a 16th century nao, a 17th century galleon and an early 20th century sailing ship.

Although the Nao Victoria and the Galeón Andalucía are replicas, they are in full detail. Inside we find information about the life of the sailors of the time, their goods, dangers and navigation guided by the stars. Although they are replicas, the smell of pitch-covered wood may well be the same as it was centuries ago.

The Götheborg Frigate is a replica of an 18th century ship. It has been built as it was made in the time of the great wooden ships with its keel and solid wooden frames.
La Fragata Götheborg es una réplica de un navío del siglo XVIII. Ha sido fabricada como se hacía en la época de los grandes navíos de madera con su quilla y las cuadernas de madera maciza.
The colours of the Swedish flag brighten up the harbour where locals and tourists come to enjoy the arrival of these ships.
The city's lighthouse, the city's lighthouse with a female name, is surrounded by these large, classic sailing ships.

While Malaga is my favorite city for a City trip, I guess that we have visited all bigger cities in the Southern of Spain. Just before Covid I proposed to the family to sell everything here in Belgium and move to Spain, but the kids weren't to fond on that idea :)
The little ones always miss their memories and friends.
