Love the bubbles in the main square! When you mentioned that Ghent is more quaint and charming than Bruges, I mentally kicked myself. We passed Ghent on a road trip but didn't stop. One day... 🙂

Yeah the bubbles were pretty cool. Hopefully the guy goes out and does that regularly so others can experience it. Ghent and Bruges are very similar, we just found that Bruges was a bit more "touristy" to us. Both were great though so you didn't make the wrong decision going to Bruges instead of Ghent. They are so close that its almost a 6 or half a dozen type situation, our preference just happened to be Ghent lol
Haha, it still piqued my curiosity and it's always nice to find places that turn out to be better, with or without expectations.
