Being immersed in the chilly cold on Da Trang Pass in Mai Chau Commune

Hi everyone! How are you doing these days? I'm sure that all of us have had a great time in the first days of 2022. On the occasion of the new year, I wish you all a year filled with peace, happiness, success and good health.

For the past tough time of 2021, we must have missed as many planned trips, so I also hope that your upcoming trips will be smooth and full of joy. Today I would like to introduce to you a special stop on Highway No. 6 of my country Vietnam - Da Trang Pass (White stone Pass).

Nettled on Highway No. 6 in the territory of Tam hamlet, Da Trang Pass is the gateway connecting two districts of Mai Chau and Tan Lac. During my trip in mid-December, the white stone pass hidden in the mist due to its high altitude of 1000 meters above sea level was one of the must-see destinations that I want to recommend to tourists when visiting Hoa Binh Province.

As far as I know, in the past, when the mountain is opened to create highway No.6, the limestone sections from above collapsed and formed a white colour for hills and passes.

After travelling a long distance from Ha Noi Capital to Mai Chau, I found it very difficult to breathe because of car sickness. However, the cold air in the mountains together with the mild fog made me immersed in the coldness of the white stone here.

Zooming out of sight from above on Da Trang Pass, you can capture the spectacular scenery of Mai Chau and the locals' roofs far away. This place is indeed a great place to stop and enjoy the fresh air of the majestic Northwest mountains.

Besides, it's a mistake not to take a few photos here since the cold air and mist make every picture so magical but equally beautiful. I took a lot of photos for my companions and everyone was satisfied

On that day, a few tourists had climbed to the peak of the rock and this seems to be quite easy as I find they could even walk quickly to reach the top. However, I could only stand at the foot of the mountain to take photos because of my clothes

This was the first time I have seen such a whitestone mountain so I feel miraculous. Moreover, the feeling of breathing naturally cold air made me much more comfortable after more than 2 hours of being in the car. For me, this is the best stopover among my rest stops on my other trips. If you have a chance to go through Highway No. 6, don't forget to come here.
