RE: Alkmaar: The City of Cheese

I know it is touristy, but, I still like it! It is kind of cool to see how things went, even if it is a little bit of pretend. If they don't keep these traditions alive, they will be lost. I have seen some disappear into the sunset. The progress we have made is amazing, but, we should keep these things alive for our children and their children. The first time I was there I had younger kids, the next time, they were old enough to grasp traditions and architecture with appreciation.

That is such a cool thing to watch, the cheese market! I must say that everything about the Netherlands makes me smile. The culture is rich in traditions and well educated. I'm insulted my parents weent't Dutch, or I'd be hanging out in in my own windmill with my wooden shoes.

Kidding, but, I want to thank you for bringing such a treat right to my doorstep. The traditional housing just makes my heart sing.

Oh, beauty!

Yes I totally agree. I think it's great that they continue the tradition and enjoyed seeing it. I feel like a lot of culture has already been lost so it's good that efforts are made to maintain it in some places.

I'm glad you got to see it and enjoy it as well. Thanks for stopping by 😄
