If I had known that Thassos had diamonds like this to tour, I probably would have taken the car ferry from Kavala when I was there in June. Although it was too warm to explore, I was more comfortable spending time on the beaches.

Thassos is an amazing experience, but wait a minute, there are different types of people, some prefer to sunbathe and swim in the sea/ocean, while others, like me, prefer to explore the areas.
I don't like sunbathing/beaches/swimming at all, yes, I do it, but very rarely. I like to discover lesser-known places in the places I visit. Even here in Thassos, I drove over 300 km, and I still have a few interesting places I discovered here.
I also have some problems due to the heat, and I also have blood pressure issues (so sitting in the sun is not recommended for me), but I try not to let them bother me.
Our trip by car to the sea, for example from Sebia to Greece, looks almost always the same in terms of the mileage I cover. 800 km in one direction, 800 km for the return trip and a minimum of 500, 600 km for those 10 days of vacation. But this time we had health problems (nausea) so taking the ferry and car would not be a good option. That's why we spent almost all days under the umbrella, without too much action.
Sometimes health problems can change our plans, but you know, the sea is still there, the places aren't going anywhere, the main concern is that when we are on vacation we relax.
I'm glad I don't suffer from car sickness, seasickness or fear of heights, because if I did, our vacations would look very different.
I wish you good health.
