On our second day we were more rested and ready to explore Lisbon even more.
We started the day early with a coffee at Padaria Portuguesa which, in addition to being a great choice, had fair prices.
We then walked along Rua Augusta, close to the Tagus River until we reached the Monumento Padrão dos Descobrimentos and spent around 30 minutes there.
No nosso segundo dia estávamos mais descansados e prontos para explorar ainda mais Lisboa.
Começamos o dia cedo com um café na Padaria Portuguesa que além de ser uma ótima escolha, tinha preços justos.
Em seguida caminhamos ao longo da Rua Augusta, próximo do rio Tejo até chegar no Monumento Padrão dos Descobrimentos e passamos cerca de 30 minutos por lá.
I enjoyed that place with my wife as it was very peaceful and made the visit even more special.
Then we headed towards the Torre de Belém continuing our tour.
There we had the chance to see some attractions.
Another setback on the trip when I realized that I had lost my document and more than 100 euros.
We were worried and looked everywhere, including asking the police, but unfortunately we couldn't find it.
Luckily it wasn't my passport that would have been an even bigger disaster.
To not let this ruin our day, we went to visit the Jerónimos Monastery, which was close to the Belém Tower.
Curti com minha esposa aquele lugar já que estava bem tranquilo e deixou a visita ainda mais especial.
Depois fomos em direção à Torre de Belém continuando nosso passeio.
Lá tivemos a chance de ver algumas atrações.
Mais um perrengue da viagem quando percebi que tinha perdido meu documento e mais de 100 euros.
Ficamos preocupados e procuramos por toda parte inclusive perguntando a policiais, mas infelizmente não conseguimos achar.
Por sorte não era o meu passaporte que teria sido um desastre maior ainda.
Para não deixar isso estragar nosso dia, fomos visitar o Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, que estava pertinho da Torre de Belém.
Afterwards we returned to the hotel to get more money and we were lucky that that day there was a marathon taking place and the buses were free.
This allowed us to return without spending anything, as we had lost the money that was with us.
We took photos at the Rua Augusta Arch, had lunch and then went to see the Iron Elevator that was designed by the same engineer who built the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Depois retornamos ao hotel para pegar mais dinheiro e tivemos a sorte de que nesse dia estava acontecendo uma maratona e os ônibus estavam gratuitos.
Isso nos permitiu voltar sem gastar nada, já que tínhamos perdido o dinheiro que estava com nós.
Tiramos fotos no Arco da Rua Augusta, almoçamos e depois fomos ver o Elevador de Ferro que foi projetado pelo mesmo engenheiro que construiu a Torre Eiffel de Paris.
We continued our tour towards Bairro Alto and from where we had a panoramic view of Lisbon.
Continuamos nosso passeio em direção ao Bairro Alto e de onde tivemos uma vista panorâmica de Lisboa.
You could see São Jorge Castle and even the building where Cristiano Ronaldo lives with his family.
Dava para ver o Castelo de São Jorge e até mesmo o prédio onde Cristiano Ronaldo mora com sua família.
It was a busy day with some losses and gains, but in the end, it was all worth it except for losing the money.
I would do it all again except this!
Foi um dia agitado com algumas perdas e ganhos, mas no final, tudo valeu a pena exceto, por perder o dinheiro.
Eu faria tudo de novo, menos isso!
