Dazzling beauty of Flower-market in India

in Pinmapple2 years ago (edited)

Certainly, every soul adores flowers, that's one thing.
But an entire market dedicated to selling flowers separately?
Until I went to visit one of the largest flower market in Calcutta during my first India trip.

On my 2nd day of India-trip, my host told me "Buckle up, let's go for a little walk and show you one of the largest flower markets!"
All I could think at that moment is "Such a boring plan! What is there to see in a flower market!"
Did I come all the way from another country, to visit a flower market!?
Until I saw the fascinating demonstration of that light word!

Stars and skies!
I was literally bewildered by experiencing the massive level of business standard of the MERE flower market and its demand!

I mean, come on!
For one second think that you are unaware of such existence.
And ponder, how many flowers do people need daily in general!?
To such an extent of growing a massive, dedicated market, needless to mention exceptionally profitable too!

Even though the market doesn't look all flashy, it was like abig mage
No matter which side or corridor you choose to walk in, it would feel like a never-ending.
And all those dazzling beauty of colourful flowers and fragrances!

And damn, those stacks of Marigold flower
As ridiculous as it sounds, I was craving to jump inside that stack and I am sure I could have easily hidden, it is that huge!

At the edge of the market, there are some flower shops as well with fancy designed flowers bouquet.
Mostly for religious worships and rituals.

I can understand India having this kind of flower market though.
Because the majority here are Hindu. And flowers are an important part of their religious daily ritual.

Look at this small temple at the roadside, yet decorated with such grandeur excess

But heaven I cannot quite comprehend a country like China or some other countries having equally or far too enormous flower business!
I mean flower is not something you import-export or preserve for long!
Wherever a flower is needed, it is required absolutely fresh, new, and authentic!

Well!
I visited it twice, though I missed to see the Pick hour
There is a certain time of day when the market blooms and flourish at the maximum.
What I captured is like that of nearly dead flower at the end of a sunny day!

On our way back my host too bought some literal massive amounts of flowers, as a part of the daily ritual!
I still do wish, if I visit India next time, I must see the market in its full blossom!

😂 I wanted to take one damn!
And you actually can, not too much cost.

A fresh, rose bouquet of 50 roses will cost you perhaps only 2/3 ₹ 😂
While here, we buy 1/2 rose with 20৳

It's quite messed up here really, whether it be flowers or anything related to tech. The price tags are just absurd, and most of us don't really mind paying the premium; I say that's a good thing and a bad thing, mostly bad I'd say.

It is bad no matter how I look 😐
I got some ideas about the absurd level vat and tax they add for an imported thing after buying things from Amazon directly when I was in India.
Which is why I suggest you actually go to india, buy from Amazon and while at it have a trip. Also trips to india these days are quite cheap.

Yes, this has become a new solution, a good one too. Problems is, when it comes to tech, we have to rely on warranty, you can never be too sure. And claiming that warranty all of a sudden from another country is going to take time; that's why we have no choice but to pay 50% more, just for that security.

Uhh yes, that thing is a problem indeed 😐
Though I have seen people buying mobile phones even laptops or some other tech stuff. It’s very rare to have an issue.
But well you can never predict luck

YESSS, no matter how fancy a piece tech may be, I just have trust issues for some reason. It's probably that way because I've been through that warranty process quite early on, with many many products.

Flower!! One of the most beautiful creature of Almighty 😍

There is also a well known flower village called “ Golap Gram" in Biruliya, Savar. This place is also a full of flowers & also a market to sell this flower. Did you visit that place yet?

Yup! It’s mostly roses.
But that's just a huge garden. Of course a nice view amidst those dry and gloomy places.
It’s beautiful too when most of the flowers bloom.

But these days people are rampaging and ruining as their habit is!

Wow, I've never seen so many mountains of flowers.
If they're picked in this form, what are they used for?

I know right 😂
As I assumed, mostly they use it in religious worship and rituals, also on some similar occasions like visiting graves of relatives or going temples.

But even for that, it’s way too huge!
I too wonder where those flowers vanish!

As far as I know, these flowers are still used to make flower necklaces used in marriage rituals or to bring offerings (I hope this is correct).

Yes, flowers can be used in every occasion and ritual. But those are not very random things right!

This market business every single day!

I have watched a lot of vlogs made by Romanians through India, through a lot of areas in this country, personally I find it an amazing country that I would like to visit one day.

Ohh you definitely should!
The beauty of India is enormously beyond description.
Specially it's famous for architectural and massive cultural beauty.
I feel like even if I only travel everyday of 6 consecutive months, it'll not be enough to explore India! It is that alluring.
