Margarita es uno de los destinos mas visitados en mi país durante todo el año. Es un conjunto de islas llamado Nueva Esparta, pero la más concurrida, con locales y vida es "la perla del caribe".
¿Que se puede hacer allí? Casi todo 😎. Desde que sabemos que vamos a la isla la emoción y planificación de las posibles cosas que se pueden hacer, se vuelve una lista innumerable porque hay actividades para todos los gustos.
Va a depender de la época del año que vayas (porque en agosto, septiembre llueve mucho) y las actividades que se celebran en la localidades que también son atractivas para todo el país.
Margarita is one of the most visited destinations in my country throughout the year. It is a group of islands called Nueva Esparta, but the most crowded, with locals and life is “the pearl of the Caribbean”.
What can you do there? Almost everything 😎. Since we know we are going to the island the excitement and planning of possible things to do, becomes an innumerable list because there are activities for all tastes.
It will depend on the time of the year you go (because in August, September it rains a lot) and the activities that are celebrated in the localities that are also attractive for the whole country.
¿Cómo se llega?
Existen dos vías: marítima y aérea. Desde hace años se habló de hacer un puente pero creo que por las condiciones no se pudo. Igual pienso que le quitaría el encanto porque esa es la idea del viaje: conocer, compartir, la aventura en sí. Existen botes más pequeños pero son peligrosos, así que uno de mis preferidos es el ferrys (como un mini crucero).
En el ferrys, la travesía puede durar de 2 a 4 horas (dependiendo de la empresa) y lo bueno es que salen de la ciudad donde vivo. Para las personas de otras zonas, deben viajar hasta acá y de aquí salir. Este es el más usado porque llevan el carro.
En avión, es cómodo, pero igual para las personas que viven lejos. En el caso de mi ciudad son de 15 a 25 de viaje, entonces mas es lo que se pasa esperando en el aeropuerto que en el vuelo. Es mi segunda opción cuando no hay ferrys.
How to get there?
There are two ways: by sea and by air. Years ago there was talk of building a bridge, but I don't think it was possible because of the conditions. I still think it would take away the charm because that is the idea of the trip: to get to know, to share, the adventure itself. There are smaller boats but they are dangerous, so one of my favorites is the ferry (like a mini cruise).
On the ferries, the crossing can last from 2 to 4 hours (depending on the company) and the good thing is that they leave from the city where I live. For people from other areas, they have to travel here and leave from here. This is the most used because they take the car.
By plane, it is comfortable, but it is the same for people who live far away. In the case of my city, it takes 15 to 25 minutes to travel, so more time is spent waiting at the airport than on the flight. It is my second option when there are no ferries.

Creanme que no lo digo yo, sus playas son reconocidas a nivel mundial por las personas que las visitan; la diversión es para todos y es su principal atractivo ya que aún son gratis y en TODA la isla se pueden disfrutar de ellas.
Existen playas más concurridas y otras menos, pero todas son hermosas.
Una particularidad es que algunas son muy quietas, ideales para el disfrute de toda la familia y otras mas agitadas en donde se hacen competencias de surfing.
Las playas son limpias y tienen opciones variadas de comidas en restaurantes, servicios de toldos, vendedores ambulantes, estacionamientos, acceso de transporte público, opción de hospedaje lo que hace que podamos disfrutar de todo en la playa sin movernos.
Main tourist attractions
Believe me I'm not just saying that, its beaches are recognized worldwide by the people who visit them; fun is for everyone and is its main attraction because they are still free and ALL over the island you can enjoy them.
Some beaches are more crowded and others less, but all of them are beautiful.
One particularity is that some are very quiet, ideal for the enjoyment of the whole family and others are more agitated where surfing competitions are held.
The beaches are clean and have a variety of dining options in restaurants, canopy services, street vendors, parking, public transportation access, lodging options, which means that we can enjoy everything on the beach without moving.

En la isla existen muchos sitios para el disfrute nocturno; hablamos desde sitios al aire libre hasta las mejores discotecas del país para pasar la noche.
En el caso de la playa, como les dije son gratuitas, así que de noche se puede ir también, en los locales colocan música y disfrutar de ellos. Una actividad pendiente para mí, es recibir un fin de año en la playa que son geniales.
Ahora, si eres más joven, de discoteca y bailar toda la noche, existen muchos sitios de moda; solo con preguntar en un centro comercial o a un taxista te da la orientación necesaria.
La bebidas, comida, a veces hasta la camisa de la disco son muy económicas y puedes pasar un rat agradable con tu grupo. Eso si, solo es hasta las 3 a.m cuando creo que uno quiere bailar más.

The drinks, food, sometimes even the disco shirt are very cheap and you can spend a nice rat with your group. It's only until 3 a.m. when I think you want to dance more.

Para mi, una visita obligada siempre ha sido ir a visitar a la Virgen del Valle en su santuario. Es un lugar muy bonito con un museo e historias alrededor de su fundación que nos deja enamorados de la perla del caribe.
