Finally, It was the summit day today. We were gonna climb to the ' Mysterious Lake' that I have been talking about in my previous blogs and see with our own naked eyes whose stories we have been hearing during our whole journey.
We woke up at around 1:30 am one by one at midnight to get freshen up and ready to have our early tea and breakfast and leave for the summit. But the weather was not in our favor that day. We woke up and heard the loud thundering and it was raining heavily. Our toilet tents got flew away due to the gale and our sleeping and kitchen tents were getting imbalanced. It was nearly impossible to trek in that weather hence we all got ready and waited in our respective tents for the weather to get normal soon and we could trek. Thankfully at around 4 - 4:30am, the rain stopped and we hurriedly left for the summit. Although due to the rain, the weather got quite cool and soothing but due to the steep and slopy climbs we faced during walking, we were draining. The climbs were hard, some people who were not used to workouts and walking every day were even giving up in the middle. But we were helping each other and managed to motivate them to complete the trek and reach the summit with us.
At around 7:30 am we reached the "Skeleton Lake". It justified the saying ' The best view comes after the hardest climb'😍. It was very beautiful and snow was not fully melted at that time hence we got to see the lake surrounded by snow, fog, and green meadows. We saw the skeletons which were the remains of the hundreds of people who lost their lives in that place due to the heavy hailstorm thousands of years ago. There were even the remains of hairs, nails, footwears of the people, and bones of the horses and other animals. We were awestruck by the view and by the happiness of finally completing the summit for which we were there.

We spent some time there living for the view we were climbing for 3-4 days and exploring by connecting the stories we heard about the people and the natural calamities that held at that place and everything got destroyed. It's always interesting getting to the place you have heard the history about.
