I know that might sound scary but it's not the first church I visited with such a story. There is also another one in a different village from Transylvania called Biertan but where the couple had 2 weeks time to either continue their relationship or make a definitive decision about it.

Of course the one from Cisnadioara is a lot more rough since they were convict to death, but the rules were so different back then. Maybe some of them would make the current times a better place if they were still available.
