Kedarnath - "A place where the soul finds peace and solace." Har Har Mahadev 🕉️🙏🏻
Preview
After Kedarnath, we had to go to our next destination, which was Tungnath. The next morning around 5:00 we left from Phata for Chopta which took us around 6 hours; it was 3 hours for the journey and 3 hours we stuck in Traffic as some construction was going on in the midway. We must have walked about 50 kms in Kedarnath and our bodies were completely tired, We did not feel like going but it was the highest temple of Lord Shiva,Still, there was a positive. Hope in my mind that if I have come, I will definitely go. The one who gives us power is my God, he will help to Reached his temple.
We reached the base camp around 12.30 and it was cold, with a many pilgrims. We had a bit of food just infront of our way, as we didn't have Breakfast. After having food, we begin our Trek with full Strength, postive vibes and blessings of Lord Shiva.
The Tungnath Temple is a another lord Shiva temple perched on Chandranath Parvat in Uttarakhand, India which is considered the highest Shiv temple in the world and it is one of part Panch Kedar temples which is located at altitude of 12073 feets. The best part of tungnath, it has amazing view of mountain and popular trekking destination which attracts the pilgrimage every year.Chopta will leave you mesmerized with its beauty. The journey from chopta to tungnath will give you breathtaking view of Himalayas which is also known as Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand.
The temple is open from May to November closing during the winter months due to extreme heavy snowfall, as it becomes difficult to trek on the heavy ice. The trek to Tungnath from Chopta is approximately 3.5 km and takes 4-5 hours by foots, you can also hire mule which cost you around rs 1000 or $10 to reach the temple.
The starting of the trek is very beautiful, with beautiful green grasslands, small huts, horses, huge snow capped mountains all around.
There were not many stalls in between the trek, hardly 2 to 3 stalls in the entire trekking which sells energy drinks, Lemonade and Chocolates. As eaten in the beginning of trek, so didn't required anything, Water bottle we carried with us. There was no washroom in between the trek, washroom was available at the top of the peak only.
This trek was also difficult as kedarnath, the whole trek was too steep, it is too much difficult for us to reach our Destination. We took 5 hours to reach the temple, We were walking slowly even taking rest at 200 metres as our body was already exhausted.
Took some beautiful pictures of Nature beauty.
Beautiful Bird sat on the Tree, i clicked the picture when i was taking rest.
Tungnath Temple
Tungnath temple, also known as Tunganth Mahadev is believed to be temple is built more than 1000 years old which was discovered by Adi Shankaracharya.
Finally we reached our Destination, Tungnath - Highest shiva temple in the world this temple should have been built exactly in the same architecture as the Kedarnath temple. We Reached when doors of the temple were open for the next month and the whole temple was decorated with fresh flowers, which make it more beautiful and attractive.
Temple was built small , 4 to 5 people could go there at a time and photography inside the Temple was strictly prohibited.
I have taken photos of the temple from different places because it will always remain in my mobile gallary and in my Heart forever.
Way to ChandraShila Peak.
Tungnath temple is best visited along with the Chandrashila peak at an height of 12100 feet that also covers the high-altitude glacial lake called Deoria Tal. The History of Chandrashila, it is sais to be the place where Lord Ram, an incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu, meditated after defeating the demon king Ravana.
My legs were paining a lot. I was not able to walk at all. I discussed that I will not go to Chandrashilla peak but both my brothers went there. While I was resting at Tungnath temple, I did meditation to purify my soul and connect myself to lord Shiva in the mid of beautiful mountains, it really helps me to give more strength and power to move down.
The Trek from tungnath to Chandra shill was more steep, there was no proper road to follow as you can see in the picture.
This trip of mine is my best and memorable trip till now because in this trip i get to know about my inner Strength and power. How i can connect myself with the beauty of Nature and Lord shiva. This trip is full of Mix emotion like exhausted body, painful legs but still excited to reach the Destination. I think will remember throughout myself is that when your Journey is Different and full of struggle then remember your Destination will be more Beautiful than you expect.

Wow! An amazing testament to faith, grit, and inner strength. It’s not easy to keep going when your body is screaming to stop, but you did, all because of your devotion and the pull of something greater. That’s powerful.
