Hello everyone!
Today I'd like to share with you a peaceful place full of charm that I was lucky enough to visit recently when I travelled to the town of Ifrane: The beautiful Lion Garden. It's a leafy little stopover nestled in this beautiful town in northern Morocco, known for its clean air, Swiss chalet-inspired architecture, and of course, its calm atmosphere that contrasts with the often hectic pace of our days, all of which I've shown you in my last few posts.
What's special about this garden is an imposing stone statue of a lion, set in the rock like a silent guardian of the place. Many visitors stop here to take photos or simply sit for a while in the shade of the trees. According to some local versions, this carved lion was made by a prisoner during the French Protectorate, but the stories vary and retain an element of mystery that makes the place all the more interesting.
This garden, though modest in size, exudes tranquillity. You'll come across families out for a stroll, children playing around the benches, or solitary strollers looking for a little peace and quiet. It's an ideal place to take it easy, take a deep breath and let yourself be carried away by Ifrane's gentle atmosphere.
In the rest of this post, I'll share with you the photos I took during my visit...

As soon as you enter the garden, you immediately feel that the air is soft and fresh, rather like everywhere else in Ifrane. The stone path opens up before us, surrounded by trees of every colour. Some are young, others are in bloom, with pink and purple all over, which is really nice to see. There are also wooden benches everywhere, perfect for sitting down, resting and just enjoying the moment.
A little further on, you can hear water running. It's the garden's little fountains, set in the middle of a rectangular pool. The water jumps into the air with regularity, and in the sunlight it almost seems to be dancing. Children are laughing all around, families are taking photos, and just behind, you can see the pretty cafés with facades reminiscent of Europe, which adds even more charm to the place.
You simply feel at home here. It's neither too busy nor too quiet. Just the right mix of nature, stone, water and life.

After enjoying the central area of the garden, with its fountains and emblematic lion, I continued my stroll to a more secluded corner, slightly higher up. This part of the garden forms a kind of small hill, discreet but full of charm, which you reach by taking several stone steps, a little irregular, sometimes covered in moss or lined with wild grass.
The higher I climbed, the more the atmosphere changed. The noises gradually faded away, and nature seemed to take over again, as if I were entering a hidden, almost forgotten place. I really liked the stone steps lined with bushes and twisted trunks. A balance between the solidity of the past and the nature that is gently imposing itself all around.
This corner of the garden, although a little more discreet, was a real moment of disconnection for me. Less people, more raw nature, more silence too. You almost feel as if you're walking in a forgotten, unspoilt place, where every step makes the twigs on the ground creak and every breath of wind tells a story.

This place may be a little small, but it's a place where you can breathe, observe and simply enjoy the peace and quiet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and consulting this post. It's always a pleasure to share these moments with you.
I look forward to seeing you very soon for new discoveries, another city, other landscapes, other places full of charm... See you very soon in my next post!
