Discover Bac Lieu with the largest Wind Power Field in Vietnam

in Pinmapple2 years ago

Hi everybody!
Hi travel lovers. It's still me, HY here.
How are you today? Everything all right?

Today I will introduce to you the next place in my journey to discover the Southwest region of myself and my companions last year. This is one of my longest journeys in years, and leaves the most profound impression, with the extremely beautiful scenery of my country. Let's explore the place with me today, which is the Bac Lieu wind power field, which is the largest wind power field in Vietnam so far.

Ending the journey to the southernmost point of the country - Dat Mui Ca Mau, we continue our journey to Bac Lieu Wind Power field, in Bac Lieu province, about 100km east of Ca Mau city. North. On the way here, we visited a salt field in Vinh Thinh commune, Hoa Binh district, Bac Lieu province. Because we followed the directions of Google map, we got lost, when the place we needed to go was the salt field, it showed us the way to the shrimp farming area of the people. Actually, following Google Map is only true for main routes or famous places. Since this salt flat was not pinned on the map, we lost our way. Then we asked the people here and finally were guided in the right way to come to this salt field, about 10km away, which is also a very funny but memorable memory of our tripgo this.

and finally reached the salt field

This salt field is the salt production area of the people here. The fields here are not planted with rice like other places but are a place to produce grains of salt, which is the daily spice of each person in cooking. The field is divided into small banks, the bottom is covered with a layer of plastic tarpaulin to prevent water from seeping into the ground. Then people will bring seawater here, after a period of exposure to the sun, the seawater will evaporate and crystallize into salt, this salt is pure salt, recrystallized by the high temperature of the sun. This salt is then transported to the factory and produces the iodized salt that we use every day to season our meals. In the fields, salt after crystallization is accumulated in large piles, pure white, standing out in the middle of a large space, looking from afar like white towers that look very beautiful.

After visiting the salt field, we came to the Bac Lieu wind power area. Bac Lieu wind power area, also known as wind power field or blower field, is located in the coastal area of Vinh Trach Dong commune, Bac Lieu city. The way to get here is also quite easy because it is already on Google Map, the whole place is paved until the place, so we don't spend much time finding our way or getting lost like before to get here. When we got there it was around 11 o'clock AM. We bought entrance tickets to visit for 30,000 VND / person, which is about 5$ for a total of 4 of us. When we got there, it started to rain heavily. In the Southwest region, this month is the rainy season, so sudden rains like this happen almost every day from noon to afternoon and evening, these rains are showers, so the rain comes and goes quickly also. We took advantage of a lunch break at a coffee shop inside the wind power area. About 1 hour later, the sky started to clear up. But the sky was still full of dark clouds at this time, so we couldn't take the best photos of this place because the scene was underexposed. The scenery around the wind power field area is very unspoiled mangrove forests and fish cages of people living along the coast here.

Bac Lieu Wind Power Park is the first wind power generation project in Vietnam, built in September 2010 with an investment of thousands of billions of VND. Up to now, this wind power complex has completed 2 phases, installed 62 towers and turbines all located on the sea, on an area of 1,300 ha, each turbine has a diameter of 4m, 80m high, weighs more than 200 tons. The propeller is made of special plastic material, 42m long, equipped with a self-folding system when there is a big storm. Phase 3 of the project started in January 2018, adding 71 more wind turbines, when completed, there will be a total of 133 wind turbines. This is the largest wind power project in Vietnam to date, and the first wind power project built in Southeast Asia. When it comes to wind turbines, people often think of European countries such as the Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Sweden... now, in Vietnam, there are also such blades, not, unlike other European countries, contributing to increasing the productivity of electricity production and supplying the whole country, and this is also the pride of the people of Bac Lieu in particular, and the people of Vietnam in general.

Standing in front of a large landscape, looking at the pillars and huge propellers reaching out to the sea, feeling very small. Immersed in that scenery, walking under the giant propellers, watching the whole field of fans, as if I were standing in real Europe, the feeling is wonderful and extremely interesting. Here no matter what angle you will get the best photos with these propellers. The best time to visit this place is probably in the early morning or evening because at this time you can watch the beautiful sunrise or sunset over the sea interspersed with these giant blowers. But we were unlucky to get here at noon, plus it was raining so everything was still not perfect. But this is also a memorable experience of this trip, being able to visit and see a field full of blowers, the blades are rotated slightly by the wind, looking very beautiful and eye-catching.

Coming here you can drop your soul into the scenery here, how much effort to get here is really not wasted at all, on the contrary, it is well worth it for a special place like this. We walked along the concrete road that ran out to the sea, the road was built next to big pillars so that technicians could come and check these propellers, as well as serve tourists calendars as we can tour this place. Visiting the Bac Lieu wind power area is a new experience in Vietnam that young people should try once, to witness how people make electricity by wind through giant propellers, with real landscapes beautiful and strange. After sightseeing and taking pictures, we left the wind power area and continued our journey to the next location, Can Tho city.

I have recently visited a wind farm too so I won't say too much about that because I'm more fascinated by the salt production which looks really amazing! I don't remember seeing something like this in my country other than the salt mines which are a bit different, but I love the white landscape and the tiny mountains of salt ☺️

Thanks so much !
In my country, salt is made in this way, which takes a lot of time and effort, and depends on the salinity of the seawater, along with the temperature of the sun according to the seasons of the year, and not where anyone can do this job.😊

I confess, I feel in love with the clear clouds. It gives me a notion of being free from all the stressors out there. Not to mention the good environment. Love the salt field, reminded me of the one Nas showed.

Thank you very much. me too, when i'm tired i usually look up at the sky, take a deep breath. It helps me relieve some of the stress. I have a lot of pictures of the sky in my phone. and it seems like i'm taking it every day. 😊

Same! I also head up to the top of buildings or to some open areas with clear blue or cloud filled sky in my phone. It helps me clear my mind.

Very nice post friend!!

Thank you so much ❤️

Vietnam has a lot of interesting places. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much ❤️
