I continue to share the beauties of Ordu with you. Our stop today will be Gaga Lake. What makes this place interesting are the rumors about the lake. Are you ready to hear?

Before talking about the lake, I wanted to show you once again the joy of traveling in this city. When I drive through such lush green roads, I feel like a movie scene. There are trees everywhere you can see and it gives you peace.

After a 1-hour drive, we reached Gaga Lake. I haven't seen many lakes before, so it wouldn't be right to call it big or small. You tell me in the comments. The reflection of the lake reflects the atmosphere of the city. It is lush and a bit gloomy because of the cloudy weather. If you look at the opposite side of the lake, people can take a closer look at the lake from a pier. We didn't really want to experience that :P

As for the rumors about the lake, according to one rumor, there is a church under this lake and this church is connected to other tunnels in the city through underground tunnels. People bring their food and drinks here and take them to other churches. The locals also think that there is a city cemetery next to the church. My fiancé's father told me this story and after he told it to me I researched it and found out that there are indeed such rumors. You can check it out here. Also, the villagers absolutely do not want any excavation or research work to be done around the lake and they do their best to prevent it. It is not known if this is a superstition or if there is a reason for it.

There are almost no social facilities around the lake. There is only this small cafe. Maybe one of the villagers owns it, I don't know. It was cold so we went there and had a cup of tea.

Inside the café there is also an area where local spices, herbs, toys and clothes are sold. These products are produced by the local people and the income is used for them. It's a great idea, I think such initiatives should increase, because even though local people produce, they often have problems selling what they produce. There are no stands where people can sell their products.

Did you notice the cat in the 4th photo? We are not the only ones taking shelter inside in the cold weather. He lies at the foot of the stove and enjoys the heat. This is a great chance, I guess there are very few cafes using stoves these days.

His friend also came inside and they started playing. They must be very cold. One of them put its paw on the stove and must have been burned because it ran away. It was a sad moment, but after a minute or so it came back to the stove. It must have learned its lesson.

After having our tea, it's time to hit the road again. The fog started to limit visibility. I remember it getting worse after I took this photo.

Afterwards we had pita bread at a local restaurant. It was really delicious but I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo after the pita bread arrived. Also, it wouldn't have been nice to do this in front of my fiancée's family.

Göl hakkında konuşmadan önce bu şehirde yolculuk yapmanın keyfini size bir kez daha göstermek istedim. Böylesine yemyeşil yollardan geçerken film sahnesi gibi hissediyorum. Gözünüzün görebildiği her yerde ağaçlar var ve bu huzur veriyor.

1 saatlik bir yolculuktan sonra Gaga Gölüne ulaştık. Daha önce çok fazla göl görmedim bu yüzden buna büyük ya da küçük demem doğru olmaz. Bunu yorumlarda siz bana söyleyin. Gölün yansıması şehrin havasını yansıtan cinsten. Yemyeşil ve bulutlu hava yüzünden biraz kasvetli. Gölün karşı tarafına bakarsanız orada insanlar iskele bir yerden göle daha yakından göz atabiliyorlar. Biz pek bunu deneyimlemek istemedik.

Gölle ilgili rivayetlere gelecek olursak, bir rivayete göre bu gölün altında bir kilise vardır ve bu kilise yer altı tünelleriyle şehirdeki başka tünellere bağlanmıştır. İnsanlar sahip oldukları yiyecek ve içecekleri buraya getirirler ve buradan başka kiliselere götürürler. Yerel halk kilisenin yanında bir de şehir mezarlığı olduğunu düşünüyorlarmış. Bana bu hikayeyi nişanlımın babası anlattı ve o anlattıktan sonra ben araştırdım ve gerçekten böyle rivayetler olduğunu gördüm. Siz de buradan kontrol edebilirsiniz. Ayrıca köylüler gölün etrafında herhangi bir kazı ya da araştırma çalışması yapılmasını kesinlikle istemiyormuş ve engel olmak için ellerinden geleni yapıyorlarmış. Bu bir batıl inanç mı yoksa bir sebebi mi var bilinmiyor.

Gölün etrafında neredeyse hiç sosyal tesis de yok. Sadece böyle küçük bir kafe var. Belki köylülerden biri buranın sahibidir, bilmiyorum. Hava souk olduğu için oraya girdik ve birer bardak çay içtik.

Kafenin içinde yöresel baharatların, bitkilerin, oyuncakların ve kıyafetlerin satıldığı bir alan da var. Bu ürünleri bölge halkı üretiyormuş ve geliri de onlar için kullanılıyormuş. Harika bir fikir, bu tarz girişimlerin artması gerektiğini düşünüyorum. Çünkü yerel halk üretim yapsa da genelde ürettiği şeyleri satma konusunda problem yaşayabiliyor. İnsanların ürünlerini satabileceği standlar yok.

1. fotoğraftaki kediyi fark edebildiniz mi? Soğuk havada içeriye sığınan sadece biz değiliz. Sobanın dibinde yatıp sıcağın keyfini çıkarıyor. Bu büyük bir şans, bugünlerde soba kullanan çok az kafe olduğunu tahmin ediyorum.

Arkadaşı da içeriye girdi ve oynamaya başladılar. Çok üşümüş olmalılar. Bir tanesi patisini sobaya değdirdi ve yanmış olacak ki koşarak uzaklaştı. Üzücü bir andı ama bir dakika kadar sonra tekrar sobanın yanına geldi. Dersini almış olmalı.

Çayımızı içtikten sonra tekrar yola çıkma zamanı. Sis gittikçe görüşü kısıtlamaya başladı. Bu fotoğrafı çektikten sonra daha da kötüleştiğini hatırlıyorum.

Sonrasında yerel bir restoranda pide yedik. Gerçekten çok lezzetliydi ama o kadar acıkmışım ki pide geldikten sonra fotoğraf çekmeyi unuttum. Ayrıca nişanlımın ailesinin yanında bunu yapmam pek hoş olmazdı.
