Kothi Village and its mesmerising beauty | British Bridge in Manali

Hello Hivers,

Yesterday, I went to Kothi village with my friend Pawan. It is a small village situated on Manali - Rohtang road. This village is on the top of Manali and the best view of Manali can be seen from Kothi and Palchan Village.

We were looking for a good spot where we can cook and make instagram reel. We have been to Kothi village so many times and we have explored almost every part but there is this one place called ‘The British Bridge’. This is an old bridge made by the britishers when they ruled India. This bridge was the connection between Rohtang and Hampta.

This place was so beautiful and it took me back in time and I thought for a while that I am in that era. I was imagening how old people used to go on this route on their horses.

Kothi village is 14 KM from Manali and it is 2500 m from the sea level. In between there is one place called Palchan and from this place you have to take a right turn to Rohtang road and then it is 3 KM drive. While reaching Kothi, you can ask any shopkeeper for the directions for british bridge. The road is not good and it requires a car with good ground clearence.

We were driving a small taxi vehicle called Alto. It is a rough and tough vehicle and most popular in Northern India because it is used by most taxi operaters. After so many instagram reels, this car is very popular and also called as lord alto.

We somehow reached at the place and made our set up. We came here just for the day trip but I was in love with this place and now I am planning to go for camping very soon. Maybe I will visit this place next week.
