Hello, Hivers.😍 How are you guys doin' right now? For today's Rejourney, I'm gonna be taking you to the mountains here in Cebu, Philippines. As someone who loves adventures, I am really excited to share with you my trekking experience.
Sirao Peak is considered as every "beginners favorite trekking spot" here in Cebu, Philippines. No wonder that I've been here twice already.😍 The first time that I was here, we took that a bit difficult trail in Talamban to reach the peak. It was a day trek with my friends. The second time was the one wherein we just took a short trail to have an overnight stay to catch the sunrise and fog in the morning. There are two ways in reaching Sirao Peak. The challenging one is to hike the Budlaan Trail in Talamban, Cebu, Philippines while the easy one is by taking the Busay Trail which would only take less than an hour to reach the peak.
When my friends told me that they are going on a trek, I immediately said yes to this adventure! That's how excited I was.😅 For my first trekking experience going to Sirao Peak, we took the challenging trail through the Budlaan Trail in Talamban, Cebu, Philippines. My friends were really amazed how energetic I was as we go on every step of the way. Even if that was too hot, the smile on my face is still visible.😉😅 The starting point for this trail is in Talamban, Cebu. I'm just confident that we will not be lost along the way since one of my friends named Siegred has taken this trail for a couple of times already. He served as our tour guide. A very patient and fun tour guide.
We took some break with my friends and enjoy the beauty of nature. Literally, I laughed so hard in this adventure, because I have such energetic friends who brings so much light around.❤️
After taking a short rest, we continue doing our hike for us to reach the famous Budlaan falls. This is known as the “hidden” waterfall paradise in Brgy. Budlaan, Cebu City.
The trail was really challenging, but knowing that we'll get to witness an amazing view at the top inspires me to discover more of the roads that we were taking.
Budlaan Falls is really a hidden paradise. The time that we were here was during summer, unfortunately we were not able to witness its beautiful waters due to dry season. Despite of knowing this, we still took some photos to appreciate its beauty. We are really looking forward that once we go back here, we will get to witness its waterfalls.
After reaching Budlaan falls, the next spot that we got to pass by was the Mt. Kan- Irag. Before reaching this, we were able to witness an amazing view along the way and the fog was really visible. Look how amazing God's creation is.😍
Before reaching Sirao Peak, you will get to pass through Mt. Kan-Irag first. Just few steps from here and we will now be witnessing Sirao Peak. I'm totally amazed with the view right here and even gets more excited to finish the trail.
Before we finally reached Sirao Peak, we came across with some farmers harvesting their planted flowers. Sirao is known for its beautiful gardens. During their harvest time, they will be selling these in Carbon Public market. I was so touched when these farmers gave me and my friends some flowers for free. We insisted to pay it, but they really refuse to receive the payment. They said that its their gift to us. We really thanked them for the sweet gesture. While walking, Siegred (a very good friend of mine) told me that those farmers usually gives flowers to the hikers. They really have such a good heart.❤️
The trail to Sirao Peak starts with a wide field of grassland, then everything else is all uphill. Reaching the peak was never easy, but the view at the top is totally worth it.❣️ Upon seeing this, that's when I got curious on how the view would look like during night time so me and my other friends decided to set another day for a camping by taking the Busay trail that will took less than an hour. During the camping, Dianah & Kim wasn't able to make it because they have some important matters to attend to. However some of my friends from different circle joined us.
I fell in love with the city lights while we were at Sirao Peak. My friends and I set-up the tent, cooked for dinner (my friends brought some camping utensils), ate together, star gazing and had a meaningful conversation about life and our dreams. This is really something I would remember forever.❤️
It was indeed a dream come true for me to wake up in this kind of view. Look how beautiful the sunrise is. It was so cold at the top and it was fogging early in the morning. We cherished the view with a cup of coffee.
After we finished our coffee and after we witnessed the sunrise, we then go on fixing our things including the tent. We really made sure that no trash will be left in the area that we occupied for the camping. Just like any other trekkers, that should always be Leave no trace in order to take good care of our Mother Earth. I am so happy that I got to spend this unforgettable experience with my close friends. I really appreciate them. ❤️
