So you've finally made it to Romania! That's cute! Thought, I think you could pick some better locations for a more memorable journey.

It's just a personal opinion as I always try to stay away from crowded places and discover nature and what that country has to offer 😁

I'm happy though that you had a nice journey and maybe you'll return someday for more!

Hey Gabriela, :) actually, this post is about something that happened back in 2016. Those days, when my wife was not my wife yet. :D:) We didn't really pick the places but places and events picked us as we were hitchhiking.

To me personally, this 'randomness' of events is the real beauty of traveling. The feeling of not knowing where you will end up in the evening just can not be beaten. :) Of course, only a little of it was really mentioned as one short post would not be enough. :)

What is more, it was just a bit of a larger, 1-year long journey. When the road is that long, you are 'living on the road' rather than traveling. All kinds of new factors kick in. Most of it is trying to do the normal everyday routine like searching for drinkable water on the hot summer day, washing your socks somewhere in a river, trying to find a spot suitable for camping, cooking on the fire, and catching wifi in gas stations in order to send a few pics to your family. The rewards are those tiny little moments when you feel the kindness of people you meet, when you share the last apple with someone you love, when you see the sun after a few hours of standing in the rain.

However, when I will return let's say for a 2-week vacation, then sure, possibly it will not be as spontaneous and I will plan the route carefully, but these are just two incomparable things. :)
