Hello everyone. After a beautiful day spent in Szeged, Hungary, walking the streets of the city, I headed to my final destination. It was the water park Napfényfürdő Aquapolis in Szeged.
This water park is located on the other bank of the Tisza river, across from all the sights of the old part of the city that I wrote about in my previous posts. The Novotel hotel where we stayed is located on the banks of the Tisza, so we had to cross a bridge to get to the water park, but it is very close. We arrived quickly and parked the car. Parking here is free on weekends.
There is a wonderful park in a beautiful natural environment if you want to take a walk.
This water park is connected to the Hunguest hotel, which is a good choice if you want to have everything in one place.
Aquapolis is one of the largest parks of this type in Europe, with the longest slides. I was not with the children, but I plan to bring them next time, because they will surely be delighted and have a great adventure here.
The water park is divided into two parts. In one there are slides and it is good and fun for children and in the other there are warm pools for hydromassage, jacuzzis, healing pools, and saunas.
Of course, we spent the whole day in the spa area and did not use the slides. Each pool has its own beneficial effects that you simply enjoy, especially if you came here tired from work and eager to rest. It's real relaxation when, for example, you sit in a warm healing pool and know that in addition to what you like, it's also good for your skin and your body.
This healing water had a dark color due to its chemical composition and a slightly strange smell due to iodine, but we didn't mind.
In other pools, the water was also thermal. The best time for me was outside, where the temperature was around 0 degrees because it is winter, and the water temperature was around 34 degrees.
It is especially nice in the evening.
It is a wonderful feeling when you bathe outside in winter and you are not cold, on the contrary, you enjoy the warm water.
A day in this water park is exactly what I needed and I will definitely repeat this amazing experience. I recommend it to you too.

Oh this is amazingly huge!!! What a water park! I did not know this is one of the biggest ones, but after seeing the photos, it seems so. Well I suppose that in East Europe you have somehow this habitude of water parks, I remember that in Hungary there are also some remarkable ones, so you enjoy them really! Here only for summertime jajaja
And not only the park, the environment around is pleasant, a quite area with trees and not so many buildings, just some old-fashioned style, preferred those rather too much urban ones. 😉

This place is beautiful. There is a very similar thermal water park in Italy, in Verona. The architectural idea is very similar indeed.
