Australia Travel Blog 1

I have always loved traveling. If you have checked my Hive blog, I'm pretty sure you'll get an idea of how much I enjoy going to places. Last February, I decided to resign from my work in order to pursue PhD studies abroad. After working for so many years, I felt like I deserve to rest and wander somewhere before going to Japan. Australia is one of the countries I really want to visit. It's beautiful sceneries, diverse wildlife, and rich culture makes it a country that's usually part of a traveler's bucket list. In this blog, let me share with you some of the places I have visited in Australia. I will be dividing my Australia trip in several parts as I traveled there for two weeks. This entry is for my visit in Sydney 😊

Sydney Opera House

Of course, your visit to Sydney will not be complete if you haven't been to Sydney Opera House. This iconic building is a multi-venue performing arts centre and is considered as one of the most popular and distinct architecture in the world. I am in awe when I first saw the Sydney Opera House. Even from afar, you can clearly see how beautiful it is.

Getting near the Sydney Opera House is not a bad idea to take a picture. But to get a better view while feeling the cold sea breeze, I suggest to ride a ferry at the Circular Quay. Look how nice the view of the opera house is from the ferry 😍

I also went to the Sydney Opera House at night and it is still gorgeous. Many people dine and and visit the nearby restaurants here as can be seen in the picture.

Sydney Harbor Bridge

Another touristy place in Sydney is the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This steel bridge is more than 1 kilometer in length. There are also people who climb the bridge as an adventure. I took this night photo of the Sydney Harbour Bridge when I visited the opera house. The shot was captured in Circular Quay.

I rode the double decker bus to travel from Sydney Central Business district to the northern beaches of NSW. If you want to have a view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, sit on the second floor, front row of the B-Line Bus! Look how stunning the bridge is!

Sydney Central

Visiting Sydney, you can actually see so many aesthetically pleasing buildings and eat at various restaurants. The Sydney Central Business District is usually filled with tourists and locals. I will be sharing in my next blog the different food I had in Australia 😉 For now, let's look at the photos I took while roaming around Sydney.

The Sydney Central Station is the largest and busiest railway station is Australia. I was actually shocked by the number of people in there.

I also attended a mass at the St. Mary's Cathedral in Sydney. The facade of the church looks really good. I did not take any photos inside the church when I attended the mass but it also looks great. The architecture is ✨✨✨

Manly Beach

New South Wales, the state where Sydney is located, is also popular with its beaches. I visited one of the popular tourist spots in the northern beaches, the Manly beach. As someone who likes going to the beach, sitting near the shore while eating fish and chips is an ideal rest for me. There are many seagulls in the beach so when you eat, watch out for seagull attacks 😆

Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains are dissected plateau carved in sandstone bedrock located in NSW. The popular Three Sisters sandstone rock formation is in Blue Mountains. The bushland and the rock formations are great views to relax and feel the nature.

You can ride a sky tram to reach the Echo Point where is formations can be seen. The view is definitely breathtaking. The Echo Point is at 1065 meters elevation.

And there you have it! I hope you enjoyed traveling with me in Sydney, Australia. Sydney is definitely one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. I hope you'll go there too!

I will also be posting my travel to Canberra and the food I had in Australia soon! 'Til next time 😉

Definitely a must visit country :)

It's been ages since I've been to Sydney, so nice to see all the lovely locations again, especially the Opera House.

Btw, if you decide to be more active on Hive now, it's worth your time and effort to work on your engagement, building your network, connecting with more people. Hive is a web3.0 platform but it's also a social media one so it works on interaction and active engagement. This will help you in the long run. Also, in the old wild west days it was perfectly ok to self vote all the time, but now it's frowned on because it's considered a selfish action. Just a gentle reminder 😉

Thank you @livinguktaiwan 😊 It is nice to use this platform to share with everyone what I love to do.

Thank you for the tips and reminder 😀 I am still familiarizing with how Hive works. Been reading about things to do as well. I appreciate your help so much.
