The Sukhothai Kingdom of Thailand is a historical area which was a post-classical Thai kingdom in Mainland Southeast Asia surrounding the ancient capital city of Sukhothai which is located in northern part of the country. This kingdom was founded by Si Inthrathit in 1238. Without prior preparation, I went to Khao Luang, Sukhothai for hiking to the RAMKHAMHAENG National Park. The park is one of the best place for hiking up to the mountains which I love from my Childhood. The most of the park's land is covered with the Khao Luang Mountain Range. Khao Luang is very beautiful due to it's surrounding low farmlands and like a giant hill in the middle of the rice field. The mountain range has four main peaks which are known as Khao Phu Kha, Khao Phra Mae Ya, Khao Chedi, and Khao Pha Narai. The waters from these mountains are very necessary for the agricultural purposes. Also the river around the place add more beauty to the scenic area which is really amazing to explore.
In this post I would like to share my experience here and how beautiful the place is and I want to come back again in near future. Though is a small city but very famous by the ancient ruins of the original old city for tourists. For tourists, it is very easy to go using the mass transport of Bangkok and Chiang Mai to Sukhothai by road or plane. By train, it will be a little bit troublesome but possible. Sukhothai city is split into two parts. The old city is near the ruins and the new city is near the old one. With four of my frieds make the sudden plan and moved with my backpack. Though the backpack was heavy to climb up to the mountains but the excitement throughout the jungle way make me forget about the weight of the backpack!
The roads were so dangerous for hiking as the steepness was too high in some places. But as my early experience I have finished climbing up to the top without any major hurts. Though it was so tiring as climbing mountains is really tough as we have to move against the gravity. But the surrounding beauty of the paths was inspiring throughout the whole way until finish the journey.
I often take rest on some stones and drink some water and some energy drinks. It is better to take a good rest than pushing the body with too much burden. And my experience is always good in my strategy to take frequent rest. And for this reason I always budget more time for climbing the mountains or camping in the forests!
For the climbers, the park authority has put some water pots to make you fresh during the tiring journey which is appreciable. Another comfortable thing was the weather which was not so hot as winter is on the way to come. In my personal opinion, summer will be devastating for climbing mountains not only here but in most of the cases. Though the trees and the long bamboos were our true friend in the whole climbing way providing the comfortable shadow.
As the road is very steep, if I don't have my back-ack, it would be very chilling but there is no way to go without your stuffs which are very necessary when you finish your path for taking rest. The flowing water from the top of the mountain was really enjoyable to explore and make fresh yourself sitting beside it.
When I finish the climbing session, it was more spectacular than I thought before starting the journey. The sunset was on of the most memorable in my life as the beautiful rays was soothing your heart. As I was so tired after the journey, I did not got chance to take more shots as the tiring face is not beautiful😂 and I planned to explore the sunrise in the morning. And after planning this I ate earlier for sleep but I don't know how to rise early in the morning because I don't wake up after such tiring work for the day.
Really the mountains in front of me were talking to me to embrace them again and again. The early sun was also spectacular. The whole journey was a fascinating for our team. A truely great day with nature. Such never ending beautiful moments will make our life more meaningful and more beautiful!

I loved your trail! there really are better climates than others for mountaineering, but hiking with more people and finding water stations along the way must be wonderful.
In the south of Argentina it is usually very cold, but the summer is acceptable for this kind of outdoor excursions, the rest of the year the humidity and snow make it super difficult.
The photo in the hammock is my favorite! Greetings, have a nice day
Thanks a lot for reading my blog. Yes, the authority is good in this place. And the weather is also fine for hiking nowadays. I also like the hammock. It is a good place for taking rest.
