In the last days of November, it suddenly rained and the air was cold, bringing a bit of winter sadness. This weather makes me want to go back to Da Lat again. It's been a long time since we've gone anywhere. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted all our previous plans, and now the situation is still not getting better. Right now, I can only sit here and reminisce about my best times. Discovering new lands and experiencing new things are always great times.
Of all the places I've been to and the journeys I've experienced, perhaps, the journey to discover Da Lat is the one that gives me the most emotions. And today, I want to share with you the story of Da Lat, the land where I always smile happily every time I think of it.
Da Lat is a famous tourist city in Vietnam. It is favored by everyone with the name "the Flower City" because no matter which road you go to in this city, you can admire the beauty of flowers. They are everywhere, with many types and vibrant colors.
When you come here, you will be completely captivated by the beauty of nature and the scenery here. I have been to Da Lat twice, but each time it gives me an indescribable feeling, making me love Dalat more and always wanting to have the opportunity to come back. When I was young, I thought: I can refuse a guy's flirtation, but I can't refuse the charm of Da Lat.
The first time I went there was in 2010, during a field trip with my colleagues from university. It was an interesting trip and a true journey to discover Da Lat. We departed from Quy Nhon city at 6 am, about 450km from Da Lat, and after more than 9 hours on the bus, we arrived in Da Lat city at 5 pm. The weather was quite cold at that time.
On the first day of our journey to discover Da Lat, we were allowed to visit the city's flower garden. And I was impressed when I came here. Before my face was a kingdom of flowers. My team and I had the opportunity to admire a brilliant and splendid space. That was the first time I was standing in a place surrounded by flowers, so beautiful and poetic, and I fell in love with Dalat right from that first feeling.
Here are some of the flowers in Dalat's flower garden.
There are many species of orchids grown and preserved here. and I was really captivated by their beauty
Here is our teacher. During our tour of the Dalat flower garden, he methodically lectured about flowers and explained why the weather in Dalat is conducive to their development. It was an interesting and practical session.
After leaving the city flower garden, we went to the valley of love, it is called "Thung Lung Tinh Yeu". It got its name since it used to be a spot for couples to go on dates.
There's a large lake here, surrounded by pine hills and winding red dirt roads, creating an extremely romantic and poetic landscape picture.
On the second day of our journey to discover Da Lat, we arrived at the LangbiAng plateau, 12km north of Da Lat city. Langbiang Plateau is not in the territory of Da Lat city, but people said that it is associated with the history of the formation and development of the city, so when coming to the land of Da Lat, people will not be able to ignore the discovery trip to the Langbiang highland, to the top of Langbiang mountain.
Of the whole journey, the journey to conquer Langbiang is the experience that I remember the most. For the first time in my life, I set foot on a mountain top, not by plane or cable car, but by my own feet.
Our group stopped the bus at the foot of the mountain. From here, we both walked and, together with our teachers, studied the botanical features and geological topography of this area. Our major is environmental, so this trip is so meaningful for us.
The area around the foot of the mountain is covered with a layer of red soil. The vegetation here is sparse, mainly grasses with developed roots. Here, the teacher explained to us the structure of the geological layers of this land and analyzed the natural features that create the characteristics of the vegetation here. Under the scorching heat, we still felt very excited with new knowledge.
The deeper into the mountain, and the higher up, the more diverse and richer the vegetation becomes. The road to the Langbiang top was very steep and hard to travel down. To cross the slopes, everyone had to continue to depend on each other for support.
Although I was so tired, I found it extremely enjoyable. And after more than 3 hours, we also set foot on the top of Langbiang mountain. Wow. It was a wonderful feeling. The feeling of standing at a peak and watching all your efforts pay off, the scenery, nature, clouds, everything from that perspective is amazing.
At the end of that trip, my friends and I had valuable lessons and memories in our hands. It was not only a great experience but also a valuable part of my youth. For me, Da Lat is love, nostalgia, and I always want to have the opportunity to return when possible.
Those are my experiences and images of Da Lat 10 years ago. There were a few photos I shot that were posted on Facebook, but I don't remember which ones were used. So, please forgive me if any of the images in this post are duplicated on Face. But I can assure you that all of the photos in this post are mine. It were taken by my old camera.
Da Lat has now changed and is much more beautiful. In addition to the places I mentioned, Da Lat also has other beauties and wonders that I have not mentioned in this article. If you have the opportunity, let's visit Da Lat once, enjoy the chilly, poetic atmosphere here, and discover all the beauties that nature favorably bestows on this land. I'm sure you'll want to come back a second time.

T cũng yêu cái vẻ đẹp mộng mơ của Đà Lạt. May mắn t đi vào đợt 2015 nên vẫn còn xanh mướt và đẹp. Đợt đó t thuê xe đạp rồi đi xung quanh thành phố lúc trời giá rét. Tạt té các quán ven đường nghi ngút khói mà thấy ấm lòng. Mà phải công nhận hoa ở Đà lạt đủ màu sắc, to và đẹp thật
