You can see we're anchored here (the white dot on the map), right in the middle of a black patch. If you look at the scale at the bottom, it shows how many knots each color represents - and black means gusts of up to 45 knots
Now that we’re fully anchored, I can confirm that this reading is spot on. We’re battling winds between 30 to 45 knots, and to make matters worse, it's been raining relentlessly for the past three days without a single break. The combination of howling winds and driving rain makes it absolutely miserable. It’s been almost impossible to get any sleep with the boat constantly rocking and the harsh weather pounding down on us. It’s an experience to remember, but one I wouldn’t mind ending soon!
Typically, our swing radius would cover a full 360 degrees, shifting us in all directions like the hands of a clock. However, due to the relentless, strong winds blowing consistently from one direction, you can clearly see we’re confined to a straight line, barely budging from our spot.
It’s been a tough few days here with the unyielding weather, and our once peaceful anchorage has turned into a challenging ordeal. The plan is to finally break free tomorrow and leave this miserable spot behind. We’re hoping for better conditions ahead as we set off from this stormy anchorage and head toward calmer waters. Fingers crossed for clearer skies and smoother sailing!
