Hello everyone. Yesterday I shared stories and photos of a buddhist temple of the Tai Yai people (hill tribes) in my district where I live. Today I change a scenery to a Thai temple in Chiang Dao district. Chiang Dao District is another rural district in Chiang Mai Province with a multi-ethnic population and a mostly buddhist population. Therefore, this district has many temples. One of the temples in Chiang Dao District is Wat Mae Eed, The temple with many beautiful and outstanding sculptures.
Me and my wife happened to see this temple last Tuesday. We were shopping and walk around at the Tuesday market of this district and happened to see this temple. Absolutely, when me and my wife see this temple. Even though we will see the temple from a distance. We like and fascinated by the beautiful of this temple. We did not hesitate and immediately went to Wat Mae Eed. And I drove up a low hill to go to this temple.

At the Tuesday market area, you can see Wat Mae Eed here from a distance.

This temple does not have an entrance arch. But at the entrance there will be a lion statue being restored.

As we walked inside the temple, we saw sculptures of hungry ghosts, angel of death and ghosts in buddhist hell.

Then my wife and I walked to the left side of the temple. We saw many buddha images on the corridors. And a large pavilion used for religious ceremonies. In addition, there were many white angel sculptures.

Inside this large pavilion, there are many black principal buddha image and many buddha images.

Then we took pictures of the sculptures area the courtyard. Area the courtyard there are many beautiful large and small sculptures. These sculptures have impressed us.
