Hello everyone. Me and my wife went to a small temple in Mae Ai District. This temple is called Wat Tha Ma kaeng (Tha Ma kaeng Temple). We don't know this temple. Me and my wife accidentally saw the temple while we were driving around to see the scenery and atmosphere Mae Ai District. And we immediately stopped by to visit this temple.
Wat Tha Makae is located in Thaton Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province Thailand. This temple is on a low hill. Chiang Mai - Thaton route. I drove from home to this temple about 58 kilometers. But if you travel from the airport in Muang District, Chiang Mai Province to this temple, the distance is about 194 kilometers.
When reaching the hill area where Wat Tha Ma kaeng is located. You can park your car below and walk up the stairs to the low hill. Or drive up the hill to reach this temple. But I drove up the hill.
Before reaching the temple, I saw an arch at the entrance to the temple. which is below the hill. This arch is made of mortar and gilded lacquered with various beautiful patterns. When I drove through this arch, before reaching the temple. We saw good scenery and atmosphere.
When me and my wife arrived at Wat Tha Ma kaeng. The first thing that impressed us was the buddha image hall (viharn) of this temple. Buddha image hall (viharn) is masonry and gilded lacquered with beautiful thai and buddhist art pattern. The pillars and door of the buddha image hall (viharn) are fully gilded lacquered.
In front of the buddha image hall (viharn), there is the serpent entrance staircase, The sculpture of the white lion decorated with color gold patterns. And sculptures of various angels as well.
Inside the buddha image hall (viharn) there are many beautiful Buddha images. On the walls and ceilings are decorated with Buddhist paintings. And gilded lacquered pillars full of pillars like the outer pillars.
The pagoda of the temple which is being built or renovated, I'm not sure. But I think when the pagoda is completed, the pagoda should be beautiful and amazing another pagoda.
The Goddess of Mercy pavilion of this temple is also beautiful.
In addition, when we walked around the temple and see many Buddha statues and sculptures inside the temple.
And the bell tower was built in Lanna style.
Other buildings within the temple are buildings for monks. such as monks' cubicles and meditation buildings. I didn't photograph those buildings.
Wat Tha Ma kaeng is open daily from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
