This week we decided to take a day trip to Winterthur Gardens in Delaware. We went specifically for the kids section which is designed as a fairytale garden. It's a peaceful spot that has a variety of whimsical hiding spots, interactive components, and installations for kids to play with. There's even a Little Free Library next to a reading area with tiny benches for kids.
This was the longest drive I've done as a single parent. We drove from Ocean City, Maryland to the northern tip of Delaware. It was a stressful drive, to say the least. What I thought would be a two-and-a-half hour trip turned into a three hour trip. We almost got into a car accident, and then I got lost.
I arrived to the peaceful garden with a cranky toddler. However, both of our moods improved once we made it to the kids fairytale garden. We were able to forget about our stressful drive and have a good time. Below are the photos from our trip. This place is totally worth visiting with kids.
This is when we first arrived ⬆️ Someone offered to take our photo, and Gabby got mad at them when they took the phone 😂

These mushrooms had motion sensors on them ⬆️ When someone walked into the ring of mushrooms, they would release steam.
