Visit to the Cíes Island, Vigo. Spain / Part 2

Hi guys! as I mentioned in my previous post, here I share the second part of pictures I took on my visit to the Cíes Islands. I took so many pictures of that trip that it's a pity I don't share with you the best of them, there will only be two parts.

Hola chicos! como les mencioné en mi anterior post, aqui comparto la segunda parte de fotografías que tomé en mi visita a las Islas Cíes. Tomé tantas fotos de ese paseo que es una lástima que no les comparta las mejores de ellas, serán solo dos partes.

I took these pictures of this cliff from a viewpoint that is near the Pedra Da Campá (which is a very striking rock on the island, I will share a picture below), to get to this viewpoint you have to make a one hour walk from the port, that day it was a scorching sun but the truth was worth the walk because the images are breathtaking! After arriving at the place you sit for a while to admire the scenery and take a breath of air to continue the tour.

Estas fotografías de este acantilado las tomé desde un mirador que esta cerca de la Pedra Da Campá (la cual es una roca muy llamativa en la isla, ya les compartiré una foto más abajo), para llegar a este mirador hay que hacer un recorrido de una hora desde el puerto, ese día estaba haciendo un sol abrasador pero la verdad valió la pena hacer la caminata porque las imágenes son impresionantes! Después que llegas al lugar te sientas un rato para admirar esos paisajes y tomas un poco de aire para seguir el recorrido.

This is Pedra Da Campá, although it is forbidden to climb it so as not to disturb the birds that nest there, there are always people who do not respect the rules.

This rock is very striking because nature has carved it in the shape of an armchair, it is said that on this rock rested the gods of the sea and watched the ocean. I think it is one of the things that we can not fail to photograph on this island.

Esta arriba es la Pedra Da Campá, aunque esta prohibido escalarla para no molestar las aves que anidan ahí, siempre hay gente que no respeta las reglas.
Esta roca es muy llamativa porque la naturaleza se ha encargado de tallarla en forma de un sillón, se dice que en esta roca descansaban los dioses del mar y observaban el océano. Creo que es una de las cosas que no podemos dejar de fotografiar en esta isla.

On the road you can also see this rare rock, it looks like a giant fossilized egg that broke in half! At least that's the shape I saw, what do you see?

En el camino también se puede ver esta rara roca, parece un huevo gigante fosilizado y que además se rompió por la mitad! Al menos esa es la forma que yo le ví, ustedes que ven?

Between Monteagudo Island and Faro Island there is a dam built over a lake that joins the two islets and also acts as a bridge for tourists to visit both sides. But we were warned that after 3 pm the water level starts to rise and at 5 pm there is no more passage to return to the port, we had to speed up the pace on our walk back. 😁

Entre la Isla de Monteagudo y la del Faro hay construido un dique que sobre un lago que une los dos islotes, también hace de puente para que los turistas puedan visitar los dos lados. Pero nos advirtieron que después de las 3 de la tarde empieza a subir el nivel del agua y a las 5 pm ya no hay paso para devolvernos al puerto, tuvimos que acelerar el paso en nuestra caminata de regreso.

Next to the dam there is a pool of water that serves as a refuge for marine life and is a must for tourists to photograph the fish that can be seen on the surface of the water.

Al lado del dique se forma un estanque de agua que sirve de refugio para la vida marina, es una parada obligada de los turistas para fotografiar los peces que se dejan ver en la superficie del agua.

Something that we found curious and that we saw in several parts of the road are these constructions with caged pieces of wood. They are insect hotels! 🐝And it is that the authorities of this park even think about the insects that come to sightsee on the island. Isn't it great!

Algo que nos pareció curioso y que vimos en varias partes del camino son estas construcciones con trozos de madera enjaulados. Son hoteles de insectos!! Y es que las autoridades de este parque piensan hasta en los insectos que vienen a hacer turismo en la isla. No les parece genial!!!

And for human tourists there is also a place to spend the night, you can bring your tent and pay a small tax to be allowed to deploy it in a special area, and if you do not want to carry heavy backpacks then there are tents with beds for rent, they look like small houses and look very comfortable, you can choose for one, two or even four people.

Y para los turistas humanos también hay donde pernoctar, puedes llevar tu carpa y pagar un pequeño impuesto para que te permitan desplegarla en un área especial, y si no quieres cargar con morrales pesados entonces hay carpas con camas que alquilan, parecen pequeñas casas y se ven muy cómodas, puedes escoger para una, dos o hasta cuatro personas.

The views of the cliffs are breathtaking, it takes your breath away to admire such majesty of nature. These landscapes make me reflect on how beautiful our planet is and how beaten we have it. I hope that the government will always take care of this territory as it has done so far, it would be a shame that the hand of man modify this natural beauty.

Las vistas de los acantilados son impresionantes, te quita el aliento admirar tanta majestuosidad de la naturaleza. Estos paisajes me hacen reflexionar en lo bello que es nuestro planeta y en lo golpeado que lo tenemos. Espero que el gobierno siempre cuide esta territorio como lo ha hecho hasta ahora, sería una pena que la mano del hombre modifiquen esta belleza natural.

In this map I traced in blue the route we walked, it is a 3.5 km route that is covered in an hour and a half, of course if you travel it without making stops along the way, in our case it took us almost 2 hours to get to the lighthouse, there we rested half an hour and on the way back we turned to Pedra da Campá and the diving area Nosa Señora.

Although we spent a lot of time on the tour and we only had two hours to enjoy the beach, I think it was a good idea to do this tour.

It was a beautiful experience and we still have a side to know, maybe next summer we will visit the island again.

En este mapa tracé en azul la ruta que recorrimos, es una ruta de 3.5 km que se recorre en una hora y media, claro eso si lo recorres sin hacer paradas en el camino, en nuestro caso nos tomó casi 2 horas llegar hasta el faro, alli descansamos media hora y de regreso nos desviamos hacia la Pedra da Campá y al area de buceo Nosa Señora.
Aunque se nos fue mucho tiempo en el recorrido y solo tuvimos dos horas para disfrutar la playa creo que fue una buena idea hacer ese tour.
Fue una bella experiencia y aún nos queda un lado por conocer, a lo mejor en el próximo verano volvemos a visitar la isla.
