Hello everyone, today I would like to greet everyone with another historical tourist attraction in Barcelona,Spain which is an old museum from the 1700s, which is about interesting antiques by excavating the remains of houses that were destroyed after the Spanish Succession War that ended in 1714 to make a fortress. This place is called "EL Born CCM."
EL Born ccm (EL Born Centro Cultural i de la Memoria) is a beautiful ancient site of the ruins of Barcelona. From an ancient market to a center of culture and memory. This archaeological center has an underground floor that is the most important area from the discovery of archaeological remains. It is 8000 square meters in size. It tells the story of daily life in Barcelona from the 14th to the 17th centuries.
EL Born ccm is magnificent from the first main building of Barcelona that impresses with its modernist architecture in 1876 and later in 1970 the market was moved. The building was gradually abandoned until nine years later in 1979, when the first renovation was carried out and the library was moved to this building. During the excavation, the remains of medieval and early modern houses, including the belongings of the residents, were discovered. Therefore, it was opened as a walk-in festival area and gradually became well-known. In 2003, it was established as the EL Born ccm Learning Center and has been open until today.
We went to this place, which was an interesting place from the entrance. The building was outstanding and attractive. In front, there was a large Spanish flag pole standing tall and clearly visible from a distance. So, we did not hesitate to walk in. Inside was a large hall. Below were archaeological ruins as mentioned. Each point had a story of this place. There were groups of people coming to the exhibition and there were guides who would help explain the archaeological site. This made us know the history of these archaeological ruins and the origins according to the information provided.
These ruins looked interesting, which were clearly different when compared to the current houses. A large hall built to preserve these things. There is a walkway to walk across these archaeological remains. The height is not very high. You can see it clearly even from above. You can see the remains clearly.
No matter how much time has passed, there are still things to remember. It may not be complete, but it still reminds us of the differences in each era. But these things will remain in the memories of the next generation who have passed on stories from the remaining objects to learn and see as impressive from the past. And must live happily in the present.
After we walked around, we came out with memories like the name of this place, EL Born Center for culture and memory. And these are just some of the pictures that I took and brought to share. Another historical tourist attraction in Barcelona, Spain. If anyone likes historical tourism, this is another interesting place. I hope everyone likes and enjoys my post. Thank you for following. Have a nice day.
