Steaming under the rain at Bilawa Mainit Hot Waterfall, Davao de Oro

in Worldmappin2 years ago (edited)

Have you tried visiting a waterfall and a hotspring at the same time? If not and you want to try visiting one, consider Bilawa Mainit Hot Waterfall located in Maco, Davao de Oro.

Bilawa Mainit Hot Waterfall is a natural hot spring in Davao de Oro. The water that flows in the waterfall is hot. Locals said that when it is a hot season, you will really feel hot but during the time that we visited the waterfall, it was raining that time, the hotness was bearable, it is calming and seems therapeutic.

Because of its uniqueness, many people are visiting there. Let me share with you a scene of the place when we visited it.

Yes, it was very crowded because we went there during the peak season, after the new year. People of all ages are there, young and old. There were mothers who just let their baby sleep on their lap while they were in the water. There were grannies who were enjoying the heat. Kids making a pool for them to have a swallow dive. There are many scenaries that you can see all around.

Even if it seems crowded, we still indulged ourselves in bathing in the waterfall. Why? We are already there, and we will not miss the opportunity, especially kids were with us and they don't care about the many people. We tried to get a space where we can have a direct fall of water from the waterfall. It is like a massage in the back. We enjoyed the steamy feeling. I know you can imagine the feeling through the picture. The water though is not clear, it is a littlle bit color brown, maybe because it was a rainy season.

I wish I could go back to this place when it's not so crowded. A time when I and my family can enjoy more time and more space.

Aside from this wonderful waterfall experience, we also enjoyed the side trip views.

Before reaching Bilawa, we passed a Tambo Cafe where we ordered food for breakfast.

It is an overlooking cafe to Lake Leonard. Here is the photo of the lake before the rain.

A very relaxing view, that you imagined yourself having a cup of coffee while looking on this place.

Here is the picture when it is already raining.

Can you imagine how cold it is?
We also enjoyed the scenery during the travel time.

Overall, we enjoyed the trip and the side trips. This was actually our first travel in the year 2023.

I hope you enjoyed the view as much as we do. Thank you dear hive friends for the support. Keep safe everyone!
