Wishart is one of my favourites parkruns as there is a lot of good shade and tree cover along the pathways on which you run. The pathways are not that wide but if you can stay ahead of the main pack it is fine even then you hit the first turn around on this double out and back course.
There was a big crowd on this particular morning as another near by parkrun had cancelled due to a lot of rain over night and is subject to flooding.
The pathway is super well signed and marked. parkrun run has a no permanent markers policy but that does not stop some local council area marking there own marker for the public to use.
There was a fair bit of water in the Bulimba Creek, I have done this course 3 times now and this was the highest water level I had seen. Usually it is not much more than a trickle.
The overnight rain was still noticeable and made everything feel cool and fresh.
I really like all the notices and signs that help give give a bit of information about the area.
The high Voltage transmission lines are not the prettiest things on the landscape but I don't know where we would be with out them.
A scribbly gum tree named after the insects that mark the bark.
A tree fern and a lot of weeds, it seems to be pretty hard to control weeds along suburban creeks with all the storm water run off from all the local houses and gardens.
There were a couple of nice little play grounds along the path.
Looks like some of the locals have started little book swap libraries, fairy and teddy bear houses.
My strava map for the 432nd parkrun back in February, Thanks for visiting.
