I've been a little absent here and even from the platform, but I wasn't feeling very well. I'm still trying to recover my well-being and get back into my routine. Today, I'll share a little bit about one of my latest experiences in the city, which I enjoyed very much, especially when it comes to showing you Maracaibo. This time, I went to Plaza de la Muñeca, also known as La Plaza de la Libertad, located in the well-known neighborhood of Santa Lucía.
Plaza de la Muñeca was inaugurated in 1910 and is considered one of the city's most emblematic squares. The sculpture that adorns it features an obelisk topped by a woman holding a torch, similar to the Statue of Liberty in New York City, only smaller. It used to be very busy because it was home to one of the city's first cinemas, but today the cinema no longer exists and the square is no longer as popular.
Although this space is quite small, it is considered part of the city's cultural heritage. It has many trees and small shrubs, although in my opinion it is a little neglected at the moment. The statue is perfectly preserved and has other important elements such as the national and municipal coats of arms. There are also benches for visitors, although there are several houses around it, it should be better cared for, at least by the citizens and their conscience.
In addition to the statue of the doll, two inscriptions can be seen: "THE MUNICIPALITY OF MARACAIBO TO THE WORKERS AND ARTISANS WHO, AS PIONEERS OF PROGRESS AND APOSTLES OF WORK, DEDICATE THIS MONUMENT TO THE GLORIES OF THE HOMELAND. APRIL 19, 1910" and another that reads: "THIS MONUMENT HAS BEEN ERECTED UNDER THE AUSPICES OF GENERAL CUMERSINDO MEDEZ, CONSTITUTIONAL PRESIDENT OF THE STATE, THE MUNICIPALITY, AND THE PEOPLE OF ZULIA," both referring to the reasons why such a monument exists.
I really enjoyed visiting this place. Although I had always heard about it, this was my first time visiting because I am not from the area, although I have visited other parts of Saint Lucia on other occasions.

He estado un poco desaparecida por acá e incluso de la plataforma pero no me encontraba muy bien de salud, aún estoy tratando de recuperar mi bienestar y el ritmo de mi rutina, hoy les compartiré un poco de una de mis últimas experiencias en la ciudad la cuál disfrute mucho y más cuando de mostrarles Maracaibo se trata, en esta oportunidad fui hasta Plaza de la Muñeca también conocida por ser llamada La Plaza de la Libertad, la misma se encuentra en un sector reconocido como lo es, Santa Lucía.
La Plaza de la Muñeca, fue ignagurada en el año 1910 y es considerada como parte de las plazas emblemáticas de la ciudad, la escultura que conforma a la misma posee un obelisco y en su parte superior una mujer con una antorcha en la mano parecida a lo que es la estatua de la libertad hoy en día en la ciudad de Nueva York solo que de menor tamaño, antes era muy concurrida por encontrarse uno de los primeros cines de la ciudad, actualmente el mismo no existe y ha dejado de ser tan visitada.
Este espacio aunque es bastante pequeño, es considerado como parte del patrimonio cultural de la ciudad, posee múltiples árboles y pequeños arbustos, aunque según mi percepción se encuentra un poco descuidado en este momento, la estatua esta perfectamente conservada y posee otros elementos importantes en la misma como el escudo nacional y el municipal, también se encuentran unas bancas dispuestas para los visitantes, aunque a su alrededor se encuentran varias viviendas debería estar más cuidada por lo menos por los ciudadanos y parte de su conciencia.
En el momentos además de la estatua de la muñeca puede verse reflejado dos escritos: "LA MUNICIPALIDAD DE MARACAIBO A LOS OBREROS Y ARTESANOS QUE COMO ZAPADORES DEL PROGRESO Y APOSTOLES DEL TRABAJO CONSAGRAN ESTE MONOMUMENTO A LAS GLORIAS DE LA PATRIA. 19 DE ABRIL DE 1910" y otro que dice: "ESTE MONUMENTO HA SIDO LEVANTADO BAJO LOS AUSPICOS DEL GRAL CUMERSINDO MEDEZ PRESIDENTE CONSTITUCIONAL DEL ESTADO, LA MUNICIPALIDAD Y EL PUEBLO ZULIANO, ambos haciendo referencia a las razones del porque existe tal monumento.
Me gustó mucho poder llegar hasta este sitio, aunque siempre he escuchado de ella es la primera vez que la visitó porque no soy de la zona aunque en otras oportunidades he visitado otras partes de Santa Lucía.
