Good morning travelers and adventurers from all over the world.
This time I went for an unexpected ride on the Maracaibo Lake with my colleagues of the medical service, our boss prepared this wonderful surprise for us and I as a lover of tourism I was very happy because despite living in the neighboring city which is the municipality of San Francisco I had never had the opportunity to take a ferry that will take me just below the General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge, so join me in this great adventure.
We left our workplace in a bus to the Muelle Sucre, where there are several vessels of the company PDVSA and a ferry was waiting for us to take a tour of Lake Maracaibo to the bridge, we all boarded the boat and in the seats two of my dental colleagues accompanied me, we began to move and feel how the ferry swayed indicating that our journey had begun.
Through the window I could see the Maracaibo Lake which by the way is the largest in America is located in western Venezuela, currently the lake has a verdigris that scientifically is called microcystis aeuruginosa, is a bacterium that feeds on phosphorus and other hydrocarbons due to the exploitation of minerals that occurs in the area, it reproduces very fast and photosynthesizes by sunlight, currently the lake is in rescue plan and cleaning for the conservation of the basin of the same.
In a few minutes sailing we were very close to the colossal bridge on Lake Maracaibo, I was mesmerized because I was very close to it, then we were instructed to put on our life jackets to go out to the deck of the ferry, I was a little scared because I felt it was moving a lot, but after a few minutes I forgot that I felt it and began to enjoy the moment, I could see more closely its piles and also take some nice pictures with the sun, bridge and lake that I loved.
Then we went back inside to have some delicious pastelones and tequeños for breakfast, to go to our next stop the Providence Island, in this place they used to take in the past specifically in the time of Bolivar to those patients who suffered from leprosy reason why it is also called the island of the lepers, I hope soon to be able to make a tour inside it but at this moment I could only see it from the bow of the ferry.
As a last stop they took us to the Vereda del Lago I have already taken them to see this great park from land, I must say that from the water you have an incredible view of the shore.
Finally our tour came to an end, but before returning to the pier I took one last picture from the window where I could see the General Rafael Urdaneta Bridge in all its extension, which makes my chest swell with pride for having been born in this land.
I loved this adventure, soon I will be showing you a new one.

Buenos días viajeros y aventureros del mundo entero.
Esta vez fuí a dar un paseo inesperado por el Lago de Maracaibo con mis compañeros del servicio médico, nuestra jefa nos preparó está maravillosa sorpresa y yo como amante del turismo me sentía muy contenta porque apesar de vivir en la ciudad vecina que es el municipio San Francisco nunca había tenido la oportunidad de tomar un ferry que me llevará justo debajo del Puente General Rafael Urdaneta, así que acompañenme en ésta gran aventura.
Salimos desde nuestro sitio de trabajo en un autobús hasta el Muelle Sucre, donde se encuentran diversas embarcaciones de la empresa PDVSA y nos estaba esperando un ferry para dar un recorrido por el Lago de Maracaibo hasta el Puente, abordamos todos la embarcación y en los asientos dos de mis colegas odontologas me acompañaban, empezamos a movernos y a sentir como se balanceaba el ferry indicando que nuestro recorrido había iniciado.
Por la ventana podía ver el Lago de Maracaibo que por cierto es el más grande de América se encuentra ubicado en el occidente de Venezuela, actualmente el lago tiene un verdín que científicamente se llama microcystis aeuruginosa, es una bacteria se alimenta del fósforo y otros hidrocarburos debido a la explotación de minerales que se produce en la zona, la misma se reproduce muy rápido y hace fotosíntesis por la luz solar, actualmente se encuentra el lago en plan de rescate y limpieza para la conservación de la cuenca del mismo.
En pocos minutos navegando nos encontrábamos muy cerca del colosal Puente en el Lago de Maracaibo, yo estaba hipnotizada porque me encontraba muy cerca de él, luego se nos indicó colocarnos nuestros salvavidas para salir a la cubierta del ferry, tenía un poco de miedo porque sentía que se movía mucho, pero después de unos minutos olvide que lo sentía y empecé a disfrutar el momento, pude observar más de cerca sus pilas y además tomar unas lindas fotografía con el sol, puente y lago que me encantaron.
Luego volvimos adentro para desayunar unos deliciosos pastelones y tequeños, para ir a nuestra siguiente parada la Isla de la Providencia, en este lugar se llevaban en el pasado específicamente en la época de Bolívar a aquellos pacientes que padecían de lepra razón por la cuál también es llamada la isla de los leprosos, espero pronto poder hacer un recorrido por el interior de la misma pero en este momento solo pude verla desde la proa del ferry.
Como última parada nos llevaron hasta la Vereda del Lago ya en una oportunidad los llevé a conocer este gran parque desde tierra firme, debo decir que desde el agua se tiene una vista increíble de la orilla.
Finalmente nuestro paseo llegó a su fin, pero antes de volver al muelle tomé una última foto desde la ventana donde se veía el Puente General Rafael Urdaneta en toda su extensión, lo cuál me hincha el pecho de orgullo por haber nacido en esta tierra.
Me encanto esta aventura, pronto les estaré mostrando una nueva.

Hay amiga, se ve hermoso, a pesar del verde que tiene el lago ahorita, no deja de ser inmenso y majestuoso. En una oportunidad pude recorrer el lago, pero de noche, y nada parecido con lo que viviste de verlo de día, es increíble. Se siente de todo cuando lo pasas y re pasas por carretera, ésta experiencia es otra cosa 🤗
La verdad que está experiencia es de otro nivel, fue realmente fascinante ver a nuestro lago y aunque tiene este verdín siempre me sentiré feliz de poderlo recorrer porque es parte de nuestro sentir como Zulianos.

Se ve que fue un paseo fascinante al lago de Maracaibo. Ojalá que pronto se puedan recuperar estos espacios, los cuales lo ameritan mucho, por tratarse de la conservación de nuestro ambiente natural.
También espero lo mismo amiga ya que nuestro lago lo necesita, igual no dejé de disfrutar mi recorrido por sus aguas.
