I have been away from the forum for a while due to personal matters. As you can tell from my introduction, I am a senior in high school. As a result, my exercise and time appear to be limited to online activities. Today, I attempted to schedule my private tutoring time to write this article and share a location I visited with everyone.

Today I would like to introduce you to a famous place in my country the Central Highlands, Vietnam. That is Dray Nur waterfall, a place you can not miss when coming to the Central Highlands.

Dray Nur Waterfall Overview

The Dray Nur waterfall, as one of the symbols and pride of the people of Dak Lak, carries the majestic beauty that is equally dreamy to the mountains and forests of the Central Highlands. Dray Nur Waterfall is a popular tourist destination in the Central Highlands, located approximately 30 kilometers from Buon Ma Thuot in the direction of Ho Chi Minh City. This is a 250-meter-long waterfall that connects the provinces of Dak Lak and Dak Nong. Because my friend's house is so close to the waterfall, it only takes us about 20 minutes to get there.

There are many places on the road that are only made of earth, making it difficult to move when it is raining. Especially if you're traveling by motorcycle. It was sunny when we went, but when we returned, it began to rain heavily, accompanied by thunder and lightning. I visited in August, in the midst of summer, so the weather here is unusual. If you want to visit the Central Highlands, go in from February to June. I believe that will be an excellent time to travel.

How do I go inside for sightseeing?

Entrance ticket

This is a tourist attraction but has a paid, so you must purchase an admission ticket to enter. You must spend 30,000 VND (equivalent to 1.26 USD), which is a reasonable price for tourists. If you travel by motorcycle, you must pre-pay a garage parking fee of 10,000 VND (equivalent to 0.42 USD). So the exact amount required for an entrance ticket is 40.000 VND (equivalent to 1.68 USD).

Explore the main hall

You can explore the areas inside the ticket booth before going to the location where the waterfall is active. There are many old trees with massive bodies, and the stumps are so large that an arm cannot hold them. A three-room house with a communal roof stands in the center of the space. This gallery features fine art products made by Central Highlands residents' hands, such as brocade clothing and fine jewelry. To the left of the main hall, there is a lawn area with fun games like archery and places to take selfies.

Explore Dray Nur waterfall

Dray Nur waterfall is more than 30m high and 150m wide. The water flowing down is beautiful from a distance. Shiny and flowing in the middle of the blue sky, like a girl's hair. A majestic stone wall prevents the water from flowing down. If I had come in July, I would have seen a much clearer waterfall than I do now. Because the rainy season begins in the Central Highlands in August, the water flows are much more opaque in color. However, the water falling from the top of the waterfall creates a white foam that is as beautiful as a fairyland. The silent mountains and forests as the background for the roaring sounds of the waterfall seem to wash away the chaos of everyday life to bring us back to nature and let our souls follow the mist.

Following the trails in the primeval forest from the Dray Nur waterfall, you can see the giant trees thousands of years old, their roots hugging big rocks. The opportunity to strut on the high suspension bridge that crosses the river, feeling the wobbly, scary wooden bridge familiar to the ethnic regions' people. Standing on the bridge and looking out into the distance, you will be able to fully appreciate the magnificent natural scenery here. The domes, large rocks, and on them there are ridges over time prove that this place has been formed for a long time up to now. There is a long and steep ladder when going down to the waterfall.

When you walk across the bridge, you will notice the scary and swaying appearance of the suspension bridge. However, I believe this is an interesting experience, similar to the suspension bridges in Nam Giang, Quang Nam, Vietnam. Most hilly areas have bridges like this over the river. Please cross this bridge to enjoy its thrilling adventure.

The history of Dray Nur waterfall was explained by the tour guide: "Dray Nur waterfall is also known as Female waterfall or Wife waterfall." Dray Nur waterfall, like many other waterfalls in the Central Highlands, has legends about its birth.

Seeing the sights while eating

You will undoubtedly feel tired and hungry after walking to admire the natural scenery. Don't worry, because this location also provides food service featuring Central Highlands specialties. You will not be disappointed by the unique dishes available only at this location. The food service location is right at the base of the waterfall. You can savor the delectable taste while admiring the waterfall and the majestic nature. The food is varied but reasonably priced.

Each waterfall in the Central Highlands has a historical origin, which can also be described as a story associated with each waterfall. You can not only immerse yourself in the majestic nature here, but you can also learn more about the history and culture, and people of the Central Highlands.
