Namaste 🙏
Hope you all doing good.
It was an amazing morning in the higher regions of Himalayas and we were at Hampta Valley. We were standing on such a spot that whole view of valley was visible. The sun was rising right above our heads and the colours of autumn were shining bright.
We decided to explore the upper part of the valley a little before heading back to our campsite. We were the only people present there and it was really a peaceful easy feeling. We walked upwards and suddenly we all spotted a creature coming from behind the meadow.
Encounter with a wolf in the wild—
My cousin spotted a dog like creature walking along the meadows. Later we realised that I doesn't looked like a dog. It was a wolf!!!
No one from our group had seen a wolf in wild before. We were a little worried at first but were later relieved when we saw its good temperament.
The wolf also looked amazed to see us. We sat still and tried to act calm in front of it so that it doesn’t attack us. It also respected our calmness and went away.
Finding our way through the meadows—
We decided to move up in the valley and explore what all this valley has to offer us. There were no trees beyond that area as the altitude was getting higher.
It simply looked like a wonderland with all the colours of colour spectrum. The blue hues in the sky, the green hues in forest and the red ones on the ground. The complete RGB palette was there!!!
There are many small streams of water flowing down from the mountains and there are wooden river crossings made on most of them. Although they are safe but you still need to be super careful when walking on them as you don’t surely wanna take a dip in the freezing cold glacial water that is flowing below you.
We were not going anywhere specific so and we had a lot of time so we enjoyed every moment that we could and everyone was soaked with peace and tranquility of the valley.
I took photos of everyone at this beautiful place and some of them came out to be amazing. This place is indeed so beautiful that all the photos naturally came out to be beautiful and vibrant.
The trail beyond this point was quite rockey so we decided not to go ahead from there. Our plan for the day was to go back to our campsite first, cook some food and probably pack some for the plan we had later in the day and move to Jobra campsite. We wanted to come prepared with some basic essentials if we wanted to go any higher.
We decided to chill there for sometime and look for a small steam of water from where we could fill the only thing we had with us at that time, our water bottles.
Filling our water bottles with fresh glacial water—
We found a natural underground source of water a little further in the trail and decided to fill up the water there. It was the perfect water that we could have at that time. Everything about it was just super perfect.
We later went back to our camps and started our preparations for the main event of our day. Trek to Jobra campsite. I’m gonna write about that adventure in the next blog.
That’s all for today!!!
Peace ☮️
Wow! The valley looks awesome! And the wolf was itself very surprised. Thanks for sharing!
Being surrounded by the mountains is an incredible feeling, observing the mountains and feeling a great tranquility allows us to connect with the nature that surrounds us.
Indeed it is!!! Thanks for passing by mate!!
