Introduction

Hi everyone it's @LivingUKTaiwan here with today's edition of the #TravelDigest. Today we start our Pinmapple virtual trip around the world with a hike at the Gran Canaria in Spain, then we we head over to Slovakia to visit an ancient castle, and finally, we visit one of the most popular destinations in Venezuela. 🥇 Castle Stará Ľubovňa by @delishtreats

" It took us about 2.5 hours to get to the castle from my home town. It's only about 130 km but the roads are so bad and holes so deep that at some points we had to check if we didn't lose a wheel! 🙂

The castle is situated on top of a hill above the river Poprad, and it's visible from afar. The parking is less than 1 km walk from the castle. On the way, you can visit the open air museum but it was closed as we came during the public holidays (6th of Jan is a public holiday in Slovakia). It's not a difficult walk but could get challenging for the elderly as it's quite steep at some places."

🥈 Tour to Colonia Tovar, Venezuela by @soy-laloreto

" Thousands of hydrangeas were scattered around the place, there is something impressive that I liked about the place and that is that no tourist could pluck a single petal of a hydrangea, the reason is quite simple: if all the tourists passing by would take a flower there would never be flowers, then the locals ask you to please, do not pluck a single flower of the ones you see in the whole place, including the village."

🥉 A visit to Roque Nublo and La Rana in Gran Canaria by @beardoin

" From the start of the trail you are within a part of the forest land as well. Space starts to open out along the path but as there is no side protection it is best to be alert of your footing as it is along way down to the left. More views and it can be seen how green the land is here, not so much barren rocks as one would imagine. "
