SwamiNarayan Ganga Aarti Ghat "Rishikesh".

in Pinmapplelast month

Hello Hive community.

I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. Today again after a break of few days I am making a post here. In today's post you will get a glimpse of Hindu culture. In Hindu culture, the Goddess is worshiped, similarly the place where the Goddess resides is also worshipped. Gangaji is also one of the goddesses whose abode is the river Ganga. Here, Ganga ji has got the status of not only a river but also a goddess and is worshiped and worshiped at various places according to her faith. In today's post also I have included the Aarti of Gangaji in which I have presented the worship ceremony from the beginning to the end with you here through photographs. This Swaminarayan Ghat is located in Rishikesh. Rishikesh is a beautiful place surrounded by mountains at a distance of 26 kilometers from Haridwar. Rishikesh is a holy place in Uttarakhand state of India. Through which the meandering river Ganges passes. I had shared information about Gangaji in my previous post, today I will share some more information with you.

Swaminarayan Ghat is a holy ghat on the river Ganges. There is also an arrangement at the end to bathe in Gangaji on this ghat. Gangaji is worshiped at this ghat in the evening. Here are the photographs of the preparation before the worship of Gangaji. It is evening time. The sun has not fully set but has hidden behind the mountains so they are getting light. This Ganga Aarti takes place after sunset. At sunset, many people come here to take advantage of Aarti. We also reached after 5 pm for aarti and darshan. At the time we reached, many people were taking the opportunity to bathe in the Ganges. We used to bathe in Gangaji in the morning so we postponed bathing for now.

In the photograph above, Gangaji is seen in its entirety. In the evening time this view is really amazing. Because there is sun light in the sky and the sun hides behind the mountains so the Gangaji looks very beautiful. Gagaji's account is huge here. Gangaji flows continuously on 2 banks here. When Gangaji passes through the stones, it flows with a beautiful sound. The clattering sound of the water and stones can be heard far and wide. These arrivals brighten up the atmosphere here. Even if you sit on the banks of Gangaji, you will not notice why time passes. If you sit on Swaminaraya Ghat and have a darshan, you can also see Ram Jula in front. I will share the photographs of Ram Jhula with you in my next post. Ram Jul is a cable bridge and standing on it gives a beautiful view of Gangaji.

In the above photographs, Ganga ji is seen from the place where the aarti is to be performed. Wooden platforms are made where aarti is performed. On the side of the platform is an umbrella made of wood. Under which Brahmins stand and perform Ganga Aarti here. In the second photograph above, preparations are being made before performing the aarti. In the second photograph, it can be seen that preparations are being made before performing the aarti, in which diwa, chamar, conch, and materials for the aarti are being collected.

Beautiful lighting arrangements can also be seen here during the aarti. Which makes this aarti more beautiful. All these decorations and arrangements are done by Swaminarayan Ashram. This aarti of Gangaji is performed daily at this place with Bhakti Bhav. In the evening, one feels complete peace here. Many other arrangements have also been made by Swaminarayan Ashram here. This Swaminarayan Ashram also has proper accommodation and food arrangements. We stayed in this ashram for 2 nights.

The entire bank of Gangaji can be seen in the above 2 photographs. This place has been well painted and developed by the government. Large scenes depicting Indian culture have been painted on the walls. Rishikesh is the hub of the world for medication. People from all over the world come here. Due to which this place has been decorated very well by the government. Standing at the top also benefits from a beautiful view of the Ganges.

This Ganga Aarti at Swaminarayan Ghat is performed by a Brahmin boy studying in this Swaminarayan Ashram. This wandering boy is so young but he is well versed in worship rituals and scriptures. This Brahmin boy does all the preparations here and does the aarti of Gangaji. All these boys live in Swaminarayan Ashram. He acquires knowledge in this ashram and learns all rituals here.

Brahmin children have started the ritual of worshiping Gangaji. Children have taken their place. The worship is done so systematically that you will be surprised to see it. Another child will stand behind the child who is sitting for the puja, who will deliver the necessary puja material to the child who is performing the puja. I really liked the sincere worship of Gangaji by these children. The atmosphere at the time of worship is very wonderful.

The worship of Gangaji has started. In the beginning, Brahmin children worshiped Gangaji. Achaman later worshiped Gangaji by blowing wind from chamar. All these rituals are different steps of worshiping. One after another ritual is performed by these children.

After that the Brahmin children perform aarti to Gangaji. They have big lamps for this aarti. The five standing children of the Brahmin child who performs the aarti deliver it. These children are accompanied by saints who perform aarti. Until the shunt in the back is standing and doing aarti. This whole aarti proceeds in a very formal manner.

Watching Ganga Aarti itself is a great experience and a huge benefit to say the least. Against the backdrop of the flowing Gangaji, Brahmin children and shunts standing with them recite hymns and mantras and perform aarti while offering salutations to Gangaji. The melodious sound of tankoris and the fragrance of incense invigorates the air and calms the mind. This aku environment provides spirituality and peace to every devotee who participates here. According to me, if you visit Rishikesh, you must take advantage of the evening Ganga Aarti at Swaminarayan Ghat.

This aarti of Gangaji at Swaminarayan Ghat has a special significance for me. The aarti performed here is performed by Brahmin children chanting under the watchful eye of the shunt. Every devotee present here is also given a lamp through which they also take advantage of this aarti. After doing this aarti, the river is prayed to with a lamp filled with flowers. These lamps move in the water of the river and make the whole atmosphere divine.

In today's post I have shared with you a lot of information about Gangaji's Aarti and also about this holy place Rishikesh. I hope you like my post as much as possible.

I sincerely thank you for visiting and reading my post.
