The 7 Pyramids of Mauritius ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡บ

in Pinmapple โ€ข 3 years ago (edited)

I've heard a lot of stories about those 7 Pyramids of Mauritius since I was a kid...but never I got the opportunity or let's say the courage to go check it with my own eyes!!!

Finally on the 2nd of January this year, I decided to close my restaurant for couple of days and organized some outings with all the family to discover places we've never been before!

Ahhh...the famous 7 Pyramids topped our list...it was my golden opportunity to see and touch them!

Were they built by the Pharaohs or by sugar cane workers who piled these stones in the 1940's?
Well, till now we really don't have any answers and there has not been too many researches done on them too!

Then if they were built by the Pharaohs, hmmm the whole history of Mauritius should be rewritten!!!

But the similarities with the pyramids of Tenerife, more than 12 000 kms from here are however troubling...

Dr. Antoine Gigal and Dr. Sam Semir Osmanagich, both researchers in pyramids, stated that these stones were laid there by the sugar cane workers from volcanic rocks and according to the latter, he goes on to say that there must be easily 30000 tons of materials and the participation of at least 100 men over a 5 year period for building these pyramids!

Dr. Sam Semir Osmanagich goes further by arguing that they are geometrically similar being made of four triangular faces with patterned rocks, and are all oriented in the same direction.

The largest pyramids is 15 meters high with 13 steps while the second and third are 11 steps. The last three are aligned. The fourth has a flat roof while the fifth has also 11 steps.

The sixth pyramid is partly damaged and has six steps and lastly the seventh has seven! They are all constructed in the same way, i.e the biggest stones placed on the edge and the smallest ones inside.
This is a sign of a well calculated work and is done too perfectly to have been done at random. The stones were placed so as to preserve the stability of the structures.

Tenerife is of volcanic origin same like Mauritius and the pyramids of Mauritius have many similarities with those of Tenerife!
As they are similar, researchers suggest that there may be some link between Mauritius and Tenerife from the time of the Pharaohs!!!

According to Mauritians historians, there are nothing mysterious in the pyramids and there is absolutely no connection with Egypt or any hidden history!

They stated that it is the fruit of the work of the employees of the fields who piled these stones in the years 1944 in order to clean the land for the planting of the sugar canes.

For the moment these seven pyramids are under the protection of the National Monuments Board of Mauritius!

I just hope that one day we finally know the real and proven history behind these pyramids and not that they guard their secrets for ever same like the pyramids of Egypt!

From my side...i was so happy to have finally seen, touched, climbed and sit on one of the pyramids...

I even got all of my nieces and nephews to go on top and take some photos which will stay forever in our memories!

What are your views about these pyramids?

Has anyone ever been in Mauritius and seen them?

Has anyone ever been in Mauritius and seen them.

Not yet

Once Hive moons...you get the first flight and I'll bring you to all top spots of the island!
But also...right now our borders are closed...hmmm there's plan to open the air I think in July/August...all depends on Covid19 evolution though!
Corona doing so much harm to the economy!

When HIVE hits $5, I'm booking my flight to Mauritius

I visited the Gรผรญmar pyramids in Tenerife and they look a lot like those! There they are protected in a fenced park, they don't let anyone climb them. I doubt they were built by farm workers, I believe in the mystery hahaha

Oh this is nice to know...I wanted so much to get the view of someone who visited the Tenerife one...
Likewise...i do think there must be something behind!!
Here also i believe they will start fencing them as everyone just climbs up there just like we did! Lol!

Great post! I don't think I've ever seen anything from Mauritius around here, keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for the appreciation my friend!
I will keep sharing some unique places of my country from time to time for the pleasure of all!
Stay blessed!
