Hola, amigos de Hiver,hoy quiero compartirles una experiencia encantadora que viví recientemente. Tuve la oportunidad de visitar un departamento lleno de magia y paisajes hermosos: El Huila, ubicado en el sur de Colombia, a unas 8 horas aproximadamente desde Medellín en carro.
Este departamento es famoso por su riqueza natural, su gente cálida y su cercanía con el imponente río Magdalena, el más importante del país. Su clima es cálido y agradable, ideal para desconectarse y disfrutar de la naturaleza.
En este viaje, que fue cuidadosamente planificado, salimos muy temprano desde Medellín. Nuestro primer destino fue la increíble Mano del Gigante, ubicada en el municipio de Gigante, Huila.
Al llegar, debes pagar una entrada para acceder al parque, y allí mismo hay vehículos tipo camperos disponibles para llevarte hasta la cima de la montaña (también tiene costo adicional). Aunque puedes subir caminando, recomiendo pagar el transporte, ya que el camino es bastante inclinado y exigente.
Una vez arriba, te recibe una vista espectacular. Es impresionante ver cómo el ser humano ha construido este lugar para que podamos disfrutar de un paisaje realmente majestuoso. Hay senderos, telas tipo "telaraña" suspendidas, balcones de observación y, por supuesto, el atractivo principal: la Mano del Gigante, una estructura gigante ideal para tomarse fotos y contemplar el hermoso panorama del Huila.
¿Sabías que la Mano del Gigante fue construida por la comunidad local con el apoyo de emprendedores turísticos? Hoy en día es uno de los sitios más visitados del departamento.
Hay dos manos, una más pequeña y otra más grande, y varios espacios pensados para tomarte muchas fotos creativas. Además, ofrecen el servicio de fotógrafos profesionales y tomas con dron, aunque también puedes hacer tus propias fotos si lo prefieres.
En esta zona también puedes alquilar cabañas si deseas pasar la noche y disfrutar más a fondo de la tranquilidad del lugar. Hay distintas opciones de hospedaje, todas rodeadas de naturaleza.
Lo más bonito de todo es que a veces olvidamos explorar los tesoros que tenemos cerca. Vivimos tan enfocados en el mañana, que olvidamos vivir el hoy. Conocer lugares como este nos recuerda lo valioso que es disfrutar, crear recuerdos y tener historias que contar.
Después de pasar un buen rato tomando fotos y admirando el paisaje, regresamos en los mismos carros 4x4. La bajada es toda una aventura por lo angosto e inclinado del camino, ¡pero muy divertida!
Sin duda, este fue un paseo que guardaré con mucho cariño.

Hello, friends of Hiver, today I want to share with you a lovely experience I had recently. I had the opportunity to visit a department full of magic and beautiful landscapes: Huila, located in the south of Colombia, about 8 hours away from Medellin by car.
This department is famous for its natural wealth, its warm people and its proximity to the mighty Magdalena River, the most important river in the country. Its climate is warm and pleasant, ideal for disconnecting and enjoying nature.
On this trip, which was carefully planned, we left very early in the morning from Medellín. Our first destination was the incredible Mano del Gigante, located in the municipality of Gigante, Huila.
Upon arrival, you must pay an entrance fee to access the park, and there are camper vehicles available to take you to the top of the mountain (also at an additional cost). Although you can walk up, I recommend paying for transportation, as the road is quite steep and demanding.
Once at the top, you are greeted by a spectacular view. It is impressive to see how humans have built this place so that we can enjoy a truly majestic landscape. There are trails, suspended spider webs, observation balconies and, of course, the main attraction: the Mano del Gigante, a giant structure ideal for taking pictures and contemplating the beautiful panorama of Huila.
Did you know that the Mano del Gigante was built by the local community with the support of tourism entrepreneurs? Today it is one of the most visited sites in the department.
There are two hands, one smaller and one larger, and several spaces designed to take many creative photos. In addition, they offer the service of professional photographers and drone shots, although you can also take your own photos if you prefer.
In this area you can also rent cabins if you want to spend the night and enjoy the tranquility of the place. There are different lodging options, all surrounded by nature.
The most beautiful thing of all is that sometimes we forget to explore the treasures that are close to us. We live so focused on tomorrow, we forget to live today. Seeing places like this reminds us how valuable it is to enjoy, create memories and have stories to tell.
After spending some time taking pictures and admiring the scenery, we return in the same 4x4 cars. The descent is quite an adventure because of the narrow and steep road, but a lot of fun!
Undoubtedly, this was a ride that I will keep with much affection.
