Yes. And this is the "narrative" favored today by those of my countrymen seeking to defend our Second Amendment rights against the relentless efforts of the progressive Left to disarm us. That it is our right to bear arms to defend ourselves against the "bad guys" and to hunt animals ... 😕
That is not what the Second Amendment is about. It was intended to protect the hard-won freedoms of the American people, by serving as the means of last resort against a tyrannical government.
