Many times it rains with storms. When there is a storm, dust often blows away. When it rains, the water rises all around. People cannot move. When it rains heavily for a couple days, it often floods. Houses were washed away in the floods. The cattle are swept away. People take shelter at the top of the house. It rained here one day. At first there was light rain. Then the storm arose. Then it started raining heavily. I was very scared. It was raining on our porch. Then the lightning flashed. There was water in our backyard. The call of the frog could be heard. Bengalis eat khichdi on rainy days. We made khichdi. Eggs were fried to eat with khichdi. Then the water rose on our porch. The village needs a lot of rain. There are many effects of rain in the village. There is rain after the drought. Plants die when there is a drought, Then the rain starts. When it rains, the plants survive. Heavy rains in the village cause a lot of problems. The village is raining with storms. People pick up paddy quickly. Young children play in the rain. People slipped in the mud. People are in a lot of pain then.
