Margarita, the pearl of the Venezuelan Caribbean, is a destination that captivates with its crystal clear beaches, rich history, and exquisite cuisine. On this trip, I will take you to explore one of the most charming restaurants on the island: Julia Comida de Mercado.
In the morning we made some arrangements and in fact, I went to meet the travel agency of a friend who was in charge of guiding me throughout my stay. It was time for lunch and we went to explore this gastronomic corner of the island.

Margarita, la perla del Caribe venezolano, es un destino que cautiva con sus playas de aguas cristalinas, su rica historia y su exquisita gastronomía, en este viaje, te llevaré a explorar uno de los restaurantes más encantadores de la isla: Julia Comida de Mercado.
Por la mañana habíamos realizado algunas gestiones y de hecho fui a conocer la agencia de viajes de una amiga que se encargó de orientarme en toda mi estadía. Ya era hora de almorzar y nos fuimos a explorar este rincón gastronómico de la Isla.

When we arrived at Julia Comida de Mercado, guided by the recommendation of a local friend, we were instantly impressed by its beauty and artistic ambiance. Located on the historic island of Margarita, this restaurant welcomed us with an explosion of colors and harmony that captivated us from the very first moment.
The restaurant offers a variety of spaces to enjoy, including a cozy indoor area and a lovely outdoor terrace. Whether you prefer to watch the comings and goings of people or opt for a more intimate setting, you will find the perfect option for your experience. However, given the generally warm weather on the island, we decided to enjoy our meal in the comfort of the restaurant's indoor area.
El inicio de una Experiencia exquisita
Cuando llegamos a Julia Comida de Mercado, guiados por la recomendación de una amiga local, quedamos instantáneamente impresionados por su belleza y su ambiente artístico. Ubicado en la histórica isla de Margarita, este restaurante nos recibió con una explosión de colores y una armonía que nos cautivó desde el primer momento.
El restaurante ofrece una variedad de espacios para disfrutar, incluyendo una acogedora zona interior y una encantadora terraza al aire libre. Tanto si prefieres contemplar el ir y venir de las personas como si optas por un ambiente más íntimo, encontrarás la opción perfecta para tu experiencia. Sin embargo, dado el clima generalmente cálido de la Isla, decidimos deleitarnos con nuestra comida en el confort de la zona interior del restaurante.

The Flavors of Margarita: A Feast for the Palate
As we delved into Julia's culinary world, we encountered a variety of typical dishes from Margarita Island. From fresh fish to Margarita chili buns, every bite transported us to the gastronomic traditions of Venezuela. I was captivated by the grilled corn on the cob and grilled chicken, accompanied by refreshing local milkshakes.
I also ordered roasted corn on the cob. The corn on the cob is what it is, a braised roasted corn on the cob, I hadn't eaten it for many years and, I loved it. My travel companions also ordered fried fish with salad.

Al adentrarnos en el mundo culinario de Julia, nos encontramos con una variedad de platos típicos de la isla de Margarita. Desde el pescado fresco hasta los bollos de ají margariteño, cada bocado nos transportaba a las tradiciones gastronómicas de Venezuela. Personalmente, quedé cautivada por la mazorca asada y el pollo a la parrilla, acompañados de refrescantes batidos locales.
Yo también pedí una mazorca. La mazorca es es lo que es, una mazorca de maíz asada en braza, tenía muchos años sin comerla y realmente me encantó. Mis compañeros de viaje también pidieron pescado frito con ensalada.

Formerly located in a busy island market, Julia Comida de Mercado retains the essence of its historic setting in its architecture and interior design, the restaurant looks like a quaint little village, full of history and tradition, with artistic details that make it one of a kind.
From the moment you set foot in the restaurant, you are immersed in a unique visual experience, the careful attention to detail in the décor, as well as the creative distribution of lights and colors, awaken the senses and transport you to a world of beauty and art. On the other hand, the bathrooms are decorated with artistic patterns that pay homage to the rich culture of the island, they are a true wonder to behold.
In addition, every corner of the place is meticulously decorated to recreate the atmosphere of a charming little town, where the symbols of Venezuela and the culture of Margarita are present in every artistic detail, visiting this restaurant is an experience that goes beyond mere decoration; it is an immersion in the identity and soul of the island. 🏰🌅
La Arquitectura y Diseño
Anteriormente ubicado en un mercado concurrido de la isla, Julia Comida de Mercado conserva la esencia de su entorno histórico en su arquitectura y diseño interior, el restaurante parece un pequeño pueblo pintoresco, lleno de historia y tradición, con detalles artísticos que lo hacen único en su clase.
Desde el momento en que pones un pie en el restaurante, te sumerges en una experiencia visual única, la cuidadosa atención a los detalles en la decoración, así como la creativa distribución de luces y colores, despiertan los sentidos y te transportan a un mundo de belleza y arte. Por otro lado los baños están decorados con patrones artísticos que rinden homenaje a la rica cultura de la isla, son una verdadera maravilla para contemplar.
