Taking Countless Steps in Mirador Heritage and Eco Park

in Worldmappin3 months ago

Howdy amazing people of this community? How are you today? Does your feet take you somewhere? I hope everyone is fine and healthy as we continue our walks of life.

Time flies so fast but my mind keeps reminiscing about our four-day stay in Baguio City. It was in April this year when I had my Baguio trip and a lot of memorable experiences to cherish. Baguio City will never fail to amaze us regarding its nature and serenity.

The city of Pines can offer many beautiful spots to tourists coming now and then. One of the newest attractions the place provides the serenity of nature is the Mirador Heritage and Eco Park, located at Mirador Hill.

From the Session Road, we ride a jeep going to the area with a minimum fare of Php17.00. Riding a jeepney will be lesser compared to taking taxis. As we reach our destination we need to pay the entrance fee of Php100.00 before making a tour to the park. They said this place is best for sunset viewing. So, we went to the place around 3 in the afternoon enough time to take our tour before the sun will set.

This eco-park takes us almost 2 hours and countless steps of walking, moving from one garden to another. It was tiring yet fulfilling to take a tour of this enchanting mountain hill. We had our first encounter in the dense Arashiyama bamboo forest. It was pretty amazing because you could see rocks all over but the bamboo are growing everywhere.

I could say that this spot here is very relaxing. It was like you were in another world with the bamboo around and no sounds of noise you heard but only nature. The coldness of the place could be felt inside. We spent most of our time in this area, you can relax and breathe in between. There are allotted benches for tourists visiting the place.

We then move to the different parks, the Ifugao Huts, and the different benches for tourists to rest for a while. It was quite tiring walking and stepping into the rocky hills. I don't know how many times we stopped because some of the areas were uphill. One should have strong knees to go up and down on the 5-hectare park.

While walking, you can see a lot of pine trees around and beautiful rock formations on the side. Afar, you can see the wonderful mountain view and its houses. It was so amazing! For a while, tell yourself to forget your problem and breathe.

A few more steps and we could reach the Mirador Peace Memorial Park where the Torii Gate is located. The serenity of the place could be felt.

The Mirador Peace Memorial Park is a Japanese-inspired park, including the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove at the entrance. You can feel the essence of the Japanese culture by seeing the place itself. No need for us to go to other countries if we don't have enough finances to go abroad. While we are here in our country, let's enjoy and embrace what we have.

It was so tiring walking just to reach the top but the view is worth it. A lot of people are getting lined up for the Tori Gate with its bell hang on top, symbolizing the excavated bell during World War 2 in the area. It was not a waste of time though the place is rocky and hilly but I managed to push my goal to reach the topmost. Enjoying this awesome view makes you forget problems for a while.

While I was on top, I just thought that this place was like a reality in life. You go through different bumpy roads and endless challenges before reaching your dreams. To fulfill our goals in life, we should undergo a series of challenges. That's why I find myself smiling that I overcome a lot but more challenges to go. Just stay positive and move forward.

That's all for today's blog my dear friends. I hope you enjoy reading about the place.

Have a nice day everyone 😊

People just love Baguio because it's of its beautiful scenery, culture and the people. My husband told me that the mall there doesn't have aircons because the place itself is cold already. Kanindot mam Kay nakavisit gyud mo.
